Building a team good enough for the Premier and to stay up is the plan. We know most the team were not good enough for the premier last year no matter how much we loved them. Hopefully most of the long term new signings will be this time.

Big two weeks training (for a majority of the squad)
Big game to come back to.
Big Friday night atmosphere. Under the lights.
Big history against who a lot see as our second biggest rivals.
Big win?

I don't even think we need to hold our nerves, true that it hasn't been a great start but with the window closing things can calm down and a settled team emerge (notwithstanding the changes that will be needed tactically and in view of injuries and fitness concerns.) It's one of the reasons we watch football, for the interesting times.

If he is as good as we think.... he SHOULD get us promoted with this uber expensive squad which most managers in this league can only dream of.

The pressure is on. But that's what they all get the big bucks for.

Agree, I feel I should be more disappointed than I am with Chaplin going but I don’t think he has had a particularly great start to the season and he was no way good enough last year so get better and prepare more . More surprised he is going as he threw himself into the club and very decent human being.

This is the point we keep coming back to. KM is trying to build a team to compete in the prem. Woolfie wasn’t going to sit and be 4th choice so it was the right thing to do, and it’s seems obvious that a 30+ chappers isn’t what we need. We have to trust KM who will live and die by these decisions as he should. When u come back down to earth and reflect on that team, when fit and firing, its potential is massive. We just need a bit of time and luck now 🤞🏼

Captain Smith was asleep at the time. He couldn't have changed course if he had wanted to.

I agree with this but it feels like we are at a tipping point. Fail to get a win soon and things can get very difficult very quickly. However, if we get a couple of wins and things click we could see another wonderful season ending with a team might be good enough to form the foundation of one able to live with the Premier League.

There is little point sticking with a team good enough to compete at the top of the Championship but not good enough to form the foundation of a Premier League one.

And thats the problem we dont have time , if we had all this happen and replaced with a pre season behind these new players we would have a chance, we are now using points and games to get players up to speed which is a risky approach

It has busted one myth.
Last season some fans moaned KM was too nice and he should be throwing hair dryers, kicking bins etc. "He's too nice, to make the tough choices" was seen as a negative. This window has demonstrated his ruthless streak, and the too nice myth totally busted.

This team aren’t a Prem team. The balance is all wrong. The players are too lightweight, they can’t grasp Mckennas tactics. He has had most of them a year and still they are clueless on what he wants. We are an expensive bunch of misfits.

It has been clear partnerships need to develop but what makes you suggest the squad is a complete mess? I would suspect that we will have 2 players for each position and with some real quality in the squad. Develop those partnerships and we will be a very good team.

Well seemingly he's taken his ruthlessness out on the fantastic professionals who drove the standards rather than the expensive flops who lack fight and self belief.

How the f are players such as J Clarke, Philogene, Johnson, Greaves, McAteer, PL quality?

The real PL quality players - Delap and Hutchinson have long been snapped up by PL teams. And even that Hutchinson isn't even Prem ready, more of a sub than a starter at Forest.

At a stretch only Cajuste and O'Shea can cut it in the PL, and just barely.

New signings tbc

Either way, if we (by a miracle) go up, there will again be a massive churn because the bulk of our squad are nowhere near PL quality.

Really. When is he going to drop the useless Philogene and J Clarke?

That would be the Jack Clarke who was dropped last match and came off the bench to score a penalty?

36 apps in the league 4 assists 1 goal scored from the spot.

How much did he cost?
