Europa for Forest much more prestigious and important than conference was for Chelsea you’d think, but either way I don’t think they are leaving out Omari or anybody else as a way of keeping them fresh for bigger games.

Is worth considering that we’d face similar issues with the homegrown thing should we make it to Europe in the next few years, value of a good academy and/or youth recruitment shows there.

Agreed, imagine their top players would be seething if left out after all the work qualifying for it.

Conference Lg a very different animal with its earned reputation as a European Papa Johns, but even for that Chelsea's first team was registered with a view to the final.

Edit reading that link, maybe Chelsea didn't register their main team until nearer the final if that's allowed.

Feel for him a bit as he’s had people in his ear and it’s backfired slightly. More importantly it stops us getting add ons potentially which is more important.

Wonder if he’s victim of the manager vs edu drama.

Is it wrong of me to think old skool in that he made his bed and now he can live with it?

We all make mistakes but no doubt he's making good money and if he gets EPL time then ok. He needs to prove his value in his new club.

Or am I being too simplistic...

I think this as well. He's not an Ipswich player any more, he wanted the move so screw him.

I was looking at it the other way, that they will have added players primarily viewed as Europa League players. However important the competition is to them, it's not as important as the Premier League.

Further to this, my feeling had been that he may been largely viewed as one of those to bulk up the Europa League squad, this year at least. Having seen the squad and those they've left out, not sure what can be read into it, to be honest, other than that he's going to be relatively on the fringes, but I think that would always have been the case at 21, however much they paid for him and who was behind the recruitment.

To me it looks like they've gone full strength, no offence to Hutchinson. Time's on his side to move up the pecking order as you say.

Hopefully he’ll be seen as a Prem regular

But I have my doubts

I do think he needed one more season to really smash up the Champ and hone for the Prem

Not sure what being an adult has to do with it. Adults are capable of regretting decisions too. I know I've moved jobs to places that weren't all they were cracked up to be and felt pretty miserable afterwards
