This thread on him being completely ripped apart in America is a fascinating listen/read.

What’s equally important is Keir growing some balls and nailing him here

We used to hang, draw and quarter the likes of Nige.

I'm not not clicking NSFW links mate. Is it a link that's seeking to justify threats of violence despite you saying that threats of violence are A Bad Thing?
[Post edited 5 Sep 2025 0:27]

No its a link that makes the logic behind the Linehan arrest come tumbling down. There are literally hundreds of far worse threats there from trans activists just simply ignored.

Do you think if i said on twtd "x deserves a punch in the face" which is of course far worse in terms in incitement because i'm actually specifying a target, that the police should visit me?

Utter madness.

Why does he hate this country so much?

He doesn't. But he wants all of us to hate it.
If you hate your country and everything it stands for, you are more likely to vote for a radical right populist party.

Its all a game.

Seems a bit harsh. Lowehouse reminds a bit of Rod Liddle without the attempted humour, but I'm sure he's a nice guy in real life, and he's a Town fan.

More like Rod Hull, or more precisely, his sidekick.

I get this, but I also think some sensibility (and heightened responsibility) should also come into play with regards the reach and influence from the suspect when it comes to applying the law

When hundreds of peaceful protesters, including elderly and disabled people, are arrested under terrorism laws, there is no logic left. The police don't have resources to attend actual crimes, which affect whole communities, but they can put out a mob of hundreds to arrest old ladies.

Although I don't think it bridges what I see as quite a chasm, that's not an unreasonable point.

If you said on here that X deserves a punch in the face once, in the heat of the moment, then no.

If you waged an ongoing war against X, managed to rally a whole group of people to your cause (many of whom have shown themselves more than capable in the past of delivering a punch to the face, or worse) and THEN suggested it, then it'd be a different matter.

If you did ALL of that, had a huge audience AND wanted to punch X in the face because he's black/gay/trans/disabled... then yeah, you should expect a visit from the police, if only for a friendly word in the first instance (this isn't the first instance, either...)

Yep, the same point applied to different people, although as I've said before I think the proscribing of the group as terrorists was the fault more than the police applying the law, but yes the priorities are all over the place again.

Well, he was asking about a hypothetical scenario, so sure... but in Linehan's case, which bit didn't happen?

I would imagine it may also depend on your reach. If an account with one follower tweeted something calling for violence, I would not expect it to be given the same attention that one that has 630,000 followers (like Linehan does), even if it was worse.

Blimey, you’re happy to hand our country over to the Russian bought fash?

There’s his reply. Can’t deny it, says his buzzwords again and again and tries to deflect.

I’m guessing you didn’t read the whole Twitter thread either. Honestly, baffles me how his fans swallow this nonsense because he’s a posh spiv.

But he's a man of the people, a friend of the working class (even though he's never been there), and he just 'gets' their legitimate concerns.

Also helps that they mainly get their news from YouTube mind you.

Not at all and as here in NI we have no Reform involvement I won’t be voting for him👍
Just pointing out that if you think that was handing him a new one you obviously haven’t had the pleasure of Sargent Majors etc pointing out the error in your ways 2 inches from your face! Now THAT is being ripped a new one😂not some bloke sitting there having a rant.

Completely different dynamic and context, no idea what exactly you think is going on here other than the Temu Moseley being seen for what he is.

I worked in a building next to the entrance to Horse Guards Parade and I had an office overlooking the square where the horses and soldiers were stationed before they went out on guard.

It always amazed me the anger that the sergeant majors worked themselves up to when there had been some very minor misdemeanour or lapse in dress code on the part of one or more of the soldiers.

They must be a special breed and I came to the conclusion that was something I just couldn't do because I just couldn't get myself that worked up.
