Football Manager26 Graphics wise looks decent on 17:47 - Sep 4 with 1772 views | Chris_ITFC | Still looks much like a clunky Subuteo version of FIFA to me… not that I care, as that’s really not the point of the game. Why is that the bit they show off? Certainly nothing in that video that screams “2 years better than the old one” to me.

yeah, sod the graphics, I want to know if they've (a) fixed the bloody press conferences, so I'm not badgered 5 times per match week to answer 20 identical questions (b) fixed the match engine prompts so I'm not asked constantly if I want to change my tactics or sub the player I deliberately put to play out of position

Get Phil in as a Consultant on Press Conferences, is that what you are saying? TBF, press conferences for real managers will be asked similar questions, in different ways and feel repetitive.

I generally start off in NL North or South with a semi-pro reputation and C licence. Build the club up to Champions League winners is always my aim, I've never managed it as tend to jump ship when a good offer comes along. I did get Southport (NL North) to Premier league on the last version I had a few years back. Took Josh Hmami all the way, some career I gave him.

I'm sure it's very realistic in how tedious it is, but ... I am playing a video game, this is my leisure time, I don't need simulated annoyance!

I send my assistant to most of them, can't be arsed with them.
Football Manager26 Graphics wise looks decent on 12:11 - Sep 5 with 820 views | wischip | I wasted a lot of time on Championship Manager 20 years ago. The only thing that could lure me back is if you can get Ipswich to score a winner in extra time and they've simulated a little fella in a coat running across the pitch for the pile on.

I always try to build one of the smaller European nations. Austria, Switzerland, Vaduz in Swiss leagues, Holland and ultimately win a Champions League and then take over the nation and hope to win a World Cup.

If you have a beast of a desktop pc that can run heavy duty apps and games then parsec is brilliant for a laptop as it is a low latency remote desktop app designed for gaming. i use it for work and gaming on my laptop as all the processing power is done on my desktop https://parsec.app/

I set my assistant to almost all press duties. Seems an annoyingly time consuming part of the game otherwise, and I'm not sure there is any obvious upside to it in terms of game benefit.

I've never tried that, but sounds interesting. I've played football manager games since I was a kid and don't think I can remember a save outside of the UK. The thing I like about lower league is all the players are on 12 month contracts, occasionally 2 years. So its not long until you can bin off all the turd you inherit Paul Cook style in an inexpensive way. I often find the 1st season the hardest in that respect, then at the end of season 1 I keep the 3 or 4 decent ones, free up loads of the wage bill by releasing the dross and snap up loads of young gems release by the bigger clubs in their place. I took Southport to the PL with barely paying a transfer fee, just took my player sales and free transfers really seriously. Ashton would love me.

Yep! I always (well atleast the last 7 / 8 FMs) do a similar save. My most fun one was defo the Slovenian league. Built Olimpija Ljubljana up to be one of the best teams in the world and it was fun watching the trickle down effect of my state of the art youth system before switching to a few different teams to build them up in the same way. Once the league has money flowing through it thanks to higher European coefficients it gets super interesting doesn't it?
