He’s not really there to go forward too much, he’s more there to be the hybrid CB/RB, allowing Davis to rampage forward. Defensively he was excellent. McAteer’s work in front of him appears to have gone largely unnoticed on here, but their partnership effectively shut out the Blades threat on that side. |  | | |

Furlong good and the defence played well. |
For all the stick Greaves gets, I thought he was a rock too. Nobody got past him on the deck and I think he won every header (or very close to every one). The only downside is we did give them a lot of space at times. Brooks kept finding space vacated by Leif, but luckily he was rubbish. But even then we defended the crosses well (when they weren’t kicked straight out into touch lol). |  |
