Think their owners are in it for the long term with today’s financial losses written off in terms of long term projections.

MK has a good size population and as it takes a few generations for a club to build its fan base maybe they think that there is potential for thousands of future fans to support them.

My daughter is a teacher in MK. Most of the kids in her secondary school eiter follow MKD half-heartedly (and see the AFCW stuff as being something from their grandparents' time so don't care) or - and this is the majority - follow PL teams because that's what they see on TV.

Tbh that applies to most decent sized towns or cities whose club or clubs have been outside of the premier league for some time. Which is why it was so important for us to be promoted and to get back there as soon as possible.

MK is al;so close to London with good rail links to Liverpool & Manchester thats probably were the football lover MK population head to. Bit like Peterborough in somwe ways
