A disappointing development, but this is probably the basis upon which most club/media relationships are built these days.
The media is so reliant upon a club's cooperation in order to generate content and make money, and it's clear that the ITFC-covering media will have been issued revised 'terms of engagement', given the change of tack in reporting since Ashton took the helm.
I can imagine (although maybe not to the same extent) that, say, Club/EADT relations may shift significantly should Stuart Watson start going off-message with his reporting. |  |

A very large tool. There’s a certain irony in him complaining again in a post that’s main subject is a defence of accurate journalism. Winter is deliberately misrepresenting the rules and getting particularly salty about it too. He doesn’t work for a national any more does he? I seem to remember him writing about us in quite a balanced way last season. In a way that most other commentators weren't.
