Roll call for Bristol? 19:32 - Sep 28 with 1167 views | Swansea_Blue | It’s a quick fire double for me after Blackburn (a big plus with being back down in the Championship is that some of the plastics feck off; it has always been the way). I’m bringing my boy again, so working on converting the Swansea Jack when his mum isn’t paying attention. It’d be good to catch up with the SW-ers again (been too long) or anyone else. I’ll be the one wearing a daffodil and abutting a sheep.

That looks like a handy spot. Park and walk to the ground presumably?

Just across the main road, via an underpass.

That’s spot on thanks. I won’t be bringing my pads though, I was always more of a bowler.

Getting a lift from Swindon with 2 BC fans so doubt we’ll be able to find any fellow Blues for a drink before hand but buzzing for it. Last game I was able to get tickets for was this fixture 2 years ago

I could make that, probably. Is that the one where they run a car park in the field about 10 minutes walk from the ground?

I was going to park there but not sure how long it would take to get out. Great burgers off the BBQ last time! It’s £17.50 through the official site or £10 on just park. Bristol has a bloody clean air zone as well. [Post edited 28 Sep 20:22]

Cheers Sitters, I’ll sort out the parking in advance. I’d normally train it in for a Saturday match and have lunch somewhere around the docks, then hit a pub or two. But these midweek games are a pain in the arse.

Roll call for Bristol? on 22:59 - Sep 28 with 642 views | tractorshark | Be aware parking prices have been hiked in Bristol. It now seems far harder and far more expensive to park anywhere remotely near the ground. Even the cricket club is very expensive and there’s an additional booking fee on top.

As mentioned the CC is £17.50 on the office site but £10 on JustPark, I’ve booked a space in the Sainsbury’s not far from the ground for just under a tenner.

1st town game, what a moment. It'll be memorable anyway but hopefully also for a win.

Certainly possible if you don't mind a bit of a stomp. You want to get across to Coronation Road and basically follow that to Ashton Gate, easy enough walk and footpaths etc, used to run there a lot. The Coronation is a decent pub for a pint if you want to break the walk up, not to be confused with the Coronation Tap, that's different (also good) but a bit of a detour for you. I moved to Bristol after a finished Uni, only place available on the graduate scheme I wanted was there, so I did 2 years there before transferring. Great city, loads to do, beautiful countryside on the doorstep too. Up there among my favourite places in the UK.
