Why the need to constantly find a target to criticise?
The lad is 23 years old, been here a couple of months and in his short career has won the league we’re currently in, played regularly in the premier league and is a full international.
We know that the players and their families read this site. Why do you feel the need to publicly criticise and ridicule him? Some of the comments on the other thread about him are disgraceful. He’s a young lad, at a new club. Give him time and get behind him. |  |

It’s a football forum, where we discuss all things ITFC - not everything posted is going to be positive.
Fans on here, in the stands, at the pubs and bars are allowed to discuss things, and that might well possibly mean saying something negative about a player or a performance - that’s footballing world. As long as it about football, and it isn’t personal, I don’t see any problem.
I think what we have seen so far from him has been poor, of course there will be criticisms off the back of that, the same way there will be plaudits if he delivers good performances.

Agree. I'm rapidly falling out of love with this site. (Obviously not the site, but a lot of the people on it.)
You'd think the club would have a lot of credit in the bank from what they've given us over the last few years, but oh no, it's "this is not good enough", "I want this", "wah, wah, wah."

Glad I'm not the only one feeling that way. Had to come out of the chatroom on Monday, and dind i have to stay off for a couple of days after a pior game. The level of criticism is aweful and often teeters on abuse of the players.

I’ve persistently talked about this, fan boys rant and supporters support. It’s a role and responsibility thing. MA and KMck are responsible for team and performances and they will be accountable for purchasing players developing them and untimely releasing or selling when that time comes. Meanwhile supporters encourage and support the process. Fans boy continue to rant like people can’t see what’s going on in a match. I don’t need a fan boy to explain player an isn’t having the biggest impact or they made a mistake. I chose to support the team, and celebrate team success. Thanks for reading. | |

This squad will be miles better than the squad that got us promoted last time out. Late signings and an early exit from the League Cup haven't done us any favours. Simply put, some of our second string aren't yet ready to start games. We don't need to name names to know who we're talking about. I'm more worried that teams have worked out that if they overload their left flank and get early balls out there, they have a good chance of success. It is not down to any individual. Furlong for one is an excellent fullback, but he can't do it on his own. That's tactical. | | | |

The Premier League has boiled a lot of brains. Loads of good posters don’t post here anymore and many who do are complete idiots, writing players off after a couple games, questioning McK and his commitment, asking why he doesn’t change formation blah blah blah |
The formation one gets me, every single time. If you have watched us for the last 4 years, you will know full well that we line up 4-2-3-1, and we have barely strayed from that (I appreciate in game we may slightly alter), but the principles with 4-2-3-1 have been the same for 4 years. It’s bought McKenna and us, so much success.

Players and families really shouldn't read forums etc.
I think the issue with McAteer is the price tag that has been speculated. Thats not his fault, but it brings expectations.
Critique of performances is absolutely fine, so long as no one gets personal. |

If it was Clarke, then Jaden.... maybe it works. They've both improved recently. Especially Jaden.
Hopefully, it passes with McAteer, but i do struggle to see what he brings. If his work ethic is good I'll stick with him ... but we have to see something soon. | | | |
