I thought Kieran’s assessment of his performance was a fair one. He worked hard without having much luck. He certainly gives the defenders a workout with his running and physicality. |
And as was pointed out before, he was wanted by Carlos Corberan at Valencia, which means his stats for pressing and fitness etc will be crazy. He will more than come good, I suspect. |  |

However, you have to wonder why with all or money and options our chosen striker to help us bounce back is a loan from Como who is young, not prolific and has a recent injury history that has severely limited his game time last season. I really believe that Azon, Szmodics and Akpom are all just lacking a goal to kickstart their season. The performances are really good, just need the end product. |  |

I suggest you look at Hirst he should have had a hat trick. I think if we are to be a serious front runner in this League and then in the Premier League we need someone who's more deadly than what we have.
Either that or the goals are shared around the team with defenders and midfield both chipping in.
But it's still nice to have a Darren Bent/Shefki partnership up front. | | | |
