I never thought that I would ever say this. 12:55 - Oct 6 with 2043 viewsMattinLondon

I might well be experiencing some kind of strange mental event, but
I thought that ITVs coverage of yesterday’s derby was very good. Better than Skys coverage.

Feels odd say that.

I couldn't face the Sky commentators yesterday so I went with ITV as well.

I was very impressed.

I recorded both, but haven't watched either of them back yet.

ITV seemed to cover yesterday’s match with much more respect and knowledge.

Sky’s coverage just seemed to be rather tired and generic.

Very good coverage. Ashton and Holland were balanced and fair to both sets of watching supporters. It's stressful enough without factoring in Don Goodman or Chris Sutton et al.

also kudos for ITV for turning UP the microphones for the crowd singing "f*** off norwich, f*** off norwich" until it was very audible - then realising after about 20 seconds then instantly turning them down again. :D

If the don't have Hinchcliffe and Goodman then they have my vote.

I also thought ITV covered the game really well, It recorded on the EFL series link and was a pleasant surprise to see it there.

I don't like Lucy Ward but she's nowhere near as bad as goodman/hinchcliffe. I presume it was Hinchcliffe as Goodman was commenting on the Wolves game.

I thought Sky's 30 minutes "Rivals" show before the match was excellent. Co-coms on the game was as negative as usual though

Not seen the ITV highlights but doubt they could be the commentary from Sky for the Philogene goal.
