Coventry looking very good this season on 22:41 - Oct 1 by Churchman | There is not some negativity. There’s a tide of it FB. I’m not shocked, just very disappointed in the lack of patience, nastiness, objectivity, sense and quite frankly support. True shock that actually matters is real life - like finding your brother in law dead on the floor or trying to keep your misses or your mackem mate cheerful when you know they’re in a world of health bad news (Mrs C is thumbs up through it thank goodness). Enjoying your posts since your return btw FB. |
Thanks mate. I find it difficult to know which negative posts are genuine and which ones are I guess made to be difference. I dunno. There's some I read on here and other socials that just don't read true. We did however also attract a new breed of supporter in the last couple seasons. That in itself is an issue with this sort of thing too. Hopefully we can get a few more positive results and it'll all start to calm down a bit. Hope your OK btw

Coventry looking very good this season on 22:20 - Oct 1 by Churchman | Looks that way. I thought he was awful before Coventry. It looks like they’re all together. Manager, owners, team and crowd. They’ll be tough because let’s face it, they’re all pointing in the same direction, just as we were two years ago. Not the case here now. The players are trying to get used to each other, many of the supporters including a big percentage on here loathe the players and have lost faith in the manager, CEO and owners. We are definitely not together and should we fail to get back to the PL, that’ll be a major factor. Sad, but that’s how it looks to me when you are booing a keeper pre season, filling social media with mockery and hate, saying a lad of 23 with a handful of appearances is sht and deriding the team relentlessly after a draw away from home because we paid fees for players. I thought after Saturday that the team was coming together. Not sure now. |
I thought he did a decent job at Derby and Chelsea when the latter couldn't spend. Everton was a special kind of hell and he probably made a mistake going there. From memory their fans always liked him, though thought it was time to part ways.

Thank you FB. You make a good point about new breed of supporter, what’s genuine and what is not. I’m ok, just very tired and rising to the bait too easily. The golf break in Portugal then ‘summer’ hol in Fuerteventura at the end of the month can’t come soon enough - but I’ll be there for that mob on Sunday! Think we will beat them too.

Coventry looking very good this season on 21:59 - Oct 1 by FrimleyBlue | When at actual fullspeed philogene clarke mcateer cajuste can all put on the afterburners. Even azor is a nimble fella. Hirst is no shirker either and azon has shown a deceptive bit of pace too. But we don't really play with the requirement of needing full bloodied running. Only really that of davis on his overruns. We are however better when we play quick tempo football. We just haven't seen it enough yet |
We are being forced to play slow football because teams are putting 11 behind the ball, when they don't we break quick and inevitably score. We are playing slow to try and draw gaps but equally this style of play is costing us as we are not being careful enough with that possession. Norwich offers a chance to show something against a team that is frail. But we cant afford to get it wrong sunday. Time to break the curse

Coventry looking very good this season on 20:27 - Oct 1 by Dubtractor | To be fair, they had an excellent half season after Lampard was appointed last year. Lampard is probably a better manager than he gets credit for. |
Reluctantly upping this, as you could well be right. They’ve some decent players and didn’t have a lot of turnover in the summer. Rushworth is an excellent keeper. It’s notable the first thing Lampard did was go and get Matt Grimes from over here in Swansea. Bizarrely, a lot of Swansea fans didn’t like him but he gives Coventry a really solid base to build from. And their strikers are banging them in lately. Will they sustain it though?

The Muric incident was shameful but thankfully I also believe it was isolated. Philogene commended the crowd's "patience" this season and I feel that better reflects the mood inside Portman Road and elsewhere to be honest. We've been quiet at home but we've also been supportive, at least where I am. I haven't heard people vocally turning on players. Those with sufficiently long memories will remember the flash-points and audible frustrations during our L1 promotion season, not simply on social media platforms but in the real world. Players pulled together, produced performances and inspired fans in turn. They proved any doubters wrong and created their own wave of momentum at a time when we'd stalled and were rolling backwards. Maybe I'm too optimistic but I genuinely don't relate to your view of fans hindering project promotion at all really. I think players are wise enough to know that well-supported clubs generate lots of social media traffic, much of which is critical and this ebbs and flows with performances. Wrongly or rightly, that's unavoidable whichever professional club a player joins above a certain level.

Booing a keeper is so lame. Real morons at least try and fight them after the match! TWTD

Coventry looking very good this season on 09:30 - Oct 3 with 73 views | darkhorse28 | How depressing would they be.., 10% of our resources at best. Better coached, motivated, and managed, and better talent ID, including our rejects. And doing it it double quick time.., which apparently is impossible.
