very disapppointing and a bit of a reality check, hope we learn from this

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!
Poll: How much for Omari

Do we learn though?

Away it has been the same pattern, start really passive and no energy, game looks even and then we give a goal away - set piece or own goal etc then we go side to side with little penetration and look wide open at the back. Been the same every away game.

If we don’t sort away form out we will be mid table at best.

We weren't. At worst it was 50/50 really but Boro looked more up for it.

We just expected it to happen. A game where if we score the pen I think we might well go on to win.

Such a frustrating performance. We give the ball away softly.

But even then we've created probably as much as them and they were hanging on a bit even if we didn't look like we were throwing the kitchen so k at them.

Don't look fit enough. I wonder if we worked them really hard or not hard enough in the break.....

the supercoach with his superbudget should be out thinking Rob Edwards really. Thoroughly out fought and thought.

I do agree. We start games unbelievably passive. Almost like it is a ploy to do that and then end strong. But we should be backing ourselves to attack and outplay the opposition.

There wasn't a lot in the game in the end but it felt so frustrating as we never looked like we were giving it enough out there and we were sloppy.

It was a tactic we used last season but that was because most weeks the opposition were three times as good as us. We seem stuck in that mode and unable to impose ourselves on the other teams.

We don’t learn we simply continue to make the same defensive errors and we just love giving the ball away in our own half. At the moment, we aren’t a top 2 side IMO we might scrape the play offs come May. Good sides don’t concede as easily as we do, we make so easy for teams to score against us.

Missed Pen , own goal and the wrong place to go on a Friday night straight after International break , we move on .

We have always given goals away easily, ever since McKenna has been in charge. We just don't seem to be able to score many away from home

Then we aren’t going to be serious contenders if that doesn’t change because we can’t keep teams out either.

We haven’t learnt. The away form is shocking. KM seems to have no idea.

For all that McKenna or Rob Edwards had no real say on us missing a pen and then completely miss kicking a football off our own shin and into the goal.

You take those two things out and McKenna a wasnt out though by Rob Edwards.

Balance of play by the end was about equal.

Not an enjoyable watch though. Overriding feeling is just frustration.

After their 2nd goal we seemed too slow to react to Boro passes and lost our shape. O Shea goal livened us up a bit but too little too late. Palmer kept the score respectable in the fist half.

They totally outplayed us imo. It was all too easy for them.

We weren't though. I. Have no complaints about the result and it felt like they edged it. We had more ball, more shots, more expected goals etc (not that I pay my h attention to that in a single game).

I found our performance really frustrating. Boro seemed more up for it. But ultimately we weren't completely outplayed. We were edged out and we didn't show enough fight or fitness to tip it in our balance.

We just seemed to expect things to happen and not go an really force the issue. Had plenty of the ball.

outplayed, outfought and outthought.
No intensity
Bunch of individuals playing a set game play that is easy to counter.
We have been sussed out.
Really need Nunez to start to pull the strings.
We are like strangers

Really nonsense.

It is so superficial, disrespectful, unsupportive and plain lazy to roll out the "outfought / no intensity " line every time a side doesn't win a game.

We lost by 1 goal, away at a tough place to go, having missed a pen and not being given another blatant one, and with our XG being greater than theirs. Why is it some of you put higher demands on McKenna compared to any other manager in the league? It's just whiney entitled bowlocks.

What was the other penalty we should have had? Genuine question as I have no memory of it.

“ Why is it some of you put higher demands on McKenna compared to any other manager in the league?”

Because he’s the manager of my team! (And has built a very very expensive squad)

I have not demanded we should have won but i just feel we lacked urgency and were largely second best despite what any stats may suggest. No biggie, just my thoughts on the match, didn’t intend to offend.
