| The strangest home game ive ever watched. 21:43 - Oct 21 with 2882 views | waveneyblue | How we ended up at 3 nil down Ive no idea, but my god you have to praise Charltons performance. Tackled, blocked absolutely everything and clinical in attack. Superb away display. Let's hope this is the night we look back on as the turning point, if not this is going to be a horrible season. Now for the postmortem, try to play nicely everyone. Im not convinced you will. [Post edited 21 Oct 21:52]

And it's on repeat this season. Think we're nowhere near good enough to be making so many changes. McK needs own this balls up.

| The strangest home game ive ever watched. on 21:49 - Oct 21 with 2378 views | patrickswell | It was an odd one and no mistake. A lack of clinical finishing and one ragged 10 minute spell did for us. Had we scored first, and Akpom really should have done with that header, it changes the game, but ultimately it was too many ifs, buts and maybes. I just hope that they’ve got the horror show out of the system given that Saturday will be my first visit to Portman Road since February 2023. | | | |

The fans MUST stay with the players, because if they don't this could really get toxic quickly, it's one really bad result at home, wow to think how we were all buzzing after the Nodge game, crazy how things change in this game..
| The strangest home game ive ever watched. on 21:54 - Oct 21 with 2182 views | Herbivore | We were sh!t. Wasteful in front of goal then gifted them goals far too easily. O'Shea is hopeless, I'm sorry but he is. He might be quick for a CB but his positional sense and decision making are Sunday league level. He's cost us more goals already this season than Woolf and Burgess did in 46 games the last time we were at this level. And then there's the lack of quality in the final third, nobody taking control and making something happen and multiple players missing good chances. There's a real lack of character to this side right now. We've been muddling through to an extent because we have so much quality but there's something fundamentally wrong with this team right now. | |

Too many want to go foward and not worry about the dirty stuff. Cajuste for the third was jaw dropping, don’t see many midfielders just giving up on a ball in the box. Standards have dropped, Morsy would not have tolerated some of the stuff seen tonight

| The strangest home game ive ever watched. on 21:57 - Oct 21 with 2070 views | FrimleyBlue | Tonight was a game that got the likes of dyches sacked from Everton. Lots of shots. Barely any on target and not winning the game. Moyes went into everton and Immediately worked on where and how they were shooting and changed things that way he didn't make alot of changes when he first went in just simple changes to the sides flow and made sure that shots taken were shots that counted. It's alright having 100 shots a game but not if 99 of them are off target. | |

Thing is, for the vast majority of the game we werent "sh!t". First half we were far from "sh!t" The result was "sh!t", the defensive play leading to the goals was "sh!t". But I get the reaction, I really do

The game is about scoring goals. For all the first half possession we had, their keeper barely made a save. Charlton weren't very good and the way they set up first half meant that with a bit of bravery we could get space to make stuff happen. We weren't good enough.

For myself, I’m looking at next season as the one where there a promotion campaign is really expected. The amount of churn there’s been has me taking a long view. Mind you, they’d better get a shift on with the relegation zone only 5 points away.

Together, passionate, organised, want to defend…, we had more quality on the ball, but with zero end product. 3-0 flattered them.., but not by much.., they missed another 3 good chances too. This is in Ashton.., backed McKenna like he was champions league veteran.., not a man without a single game managing at that level, pure laziness and lack of skill form Ashton.., there’s a reason he’s 35 years in the EFL As for McKenna - he made his bed when he used Brighton to screw us for every penny he could!!! He’s paid more than 70% of premier league managers. Jones schooled him tonight.., he’s not the first and won’t be the last.., McKenna isn’t even elite in the EFl.., he inherited 23/24 mostly, and can’t build a group, he’s tried and failed twice, and at £200 million spent, there can’t be a third time. Fool me once ..,

We have no idea what he is paid but I would wager it’s nowhere near top premier league salary

| The strangest home game ive ever watched. on 22:26 - Oct 21 with 1414 views | Trequartista | This is why football is so great when not interfered with by idiot administrators. I've watched hundreds maybe thousands of games but no way in the world could i predict at half time what happened in the second half. I thought first half Cajuste, Akpom, McAteer, Azon and Nunez all had their best games for us (some low bars in there for sure). I've never seen worse games for O'Shea and Greaves though in the second period. They offered Walton (who had made some good saves but looked extremely nervous on the ball) no protection whatsoever. | |

Agreed - i can’t remember a game where we clearly should have won against a really poor side ( arguably the worst one seen this season) and somehow lose 3 nil🙈 First goal so poor from O Shea Second an absolute shambles - but we had many openings like that which did t land for us. Third - poor but that ball was out. A bit like Hurst pen if Akpom scores a header that was more difficult to put wide we go on and win comfortably ,

Charlton weren’t poor though, at any stage of the game. However, the degrees of their performance changed as the scoreline did.
