| Three positives from me after a sorry night 22:31 - Oct 21 with 1599 views | Smoresy | Jack Clarke: shame he couldn't pass to himself. How he finishes without an assist warrants a national inquiry. Akpom showed he has good technical ability, shame he didn't convert one of his decent chances. Cajuste put in a much better shift than he did against Boro, shame he poses so little threat shooting around the edge of the box. | | | | |

Not tonight - Clarkey getting chalk on his boots gave no space for Davis to work in. Ended up an inside forward (again) tonight. Davis is at his most effective running from deep on the overlap (not underlap).

| Three positives from me after a sorry night on 22:36 - Oct 21 with 1458 views | WeirdFishes | Clarke wasn’t far the best player on the pitch and did not deserve to loan that game. That was Akpom’s best game for us and I hope he keeps his place for Sunday, if he doesn’t that’s sending an awful message from McKenna that team sheets are predetermined despite how you perform. Not convinced by Cajuste’s performance personally, he does the fancy turns which look nice but not sure what else he contributes. | |

He overlooked him once or twice, not more than that imo, while Leif's crossing has been quite disappointing across the season for me (remember him having one particularly dangerous game). Perhaps his targets aren't finding the spaces they used to.

Out of possession Cajuste was a passenger tbh. It's a problem if your other cm also isn't great out of possession.

More difficult to out that header wide than score though…. And then score we win!?

Quite. Davis barely get near the other box today. Chalk and cheese from Friday night. If we want Clarke in the team, he will have to play on the right with Philogene on the left. We lose too much with Clarke on the left - even though he has been excellent recently.

| Three positives from me after a sorry night on 22:41 - Oct 21 with 1324 views | ZapatasMoustache | Clarke was superb tonight. Akpom wasn’t great IMO. Cajuste was excellent at times, too ambitious/arrogant at others. It’s a fine line for him at the moment. Young deserves praise, he was good. O’Shea and Núñez were bloody awful though, and the rest were poor at best. | | | |

Granted he should have scored that chance, but his overall performance was good, much better than most bar Clarke.

| Three positives from me after a sorry night on 22:52 - Oct 21 with 1147 views | darkhorse28 | Jack was great.., end product always less than his build up though …, always: Jens. Looked good, just still really poor defensively and can’t play CDM. Don’t know what you saw from Akpom, thought he offered almost nothing, clearly does have quality, as you point out, but if anything, that makes it worse. | | | |

Akpom had his best game for us I thought, criminal he didn’t score mind.

I don't think it's at all controversial to say Davis' crossing has never been very good. He picks out a lovely pass to the edge of the box where Chaplin and Broadhead used to lurk, but if you ask him to whip a cross looking for the forehead of the no.9, he either won't do it and pass backwards, or he'll hit the first man. Sorry Leif. Love him and he's the least of our problems, but it's a weakness of his game.

| Three positives from me after a sorry night on 23:55 - Oct 21 with 785 views | BlueForYou | Akpom was superb tonight I thought. Apart from missing one headed chance he didn't put a foot wrong. He, Cajuste, & Nunez played really well together in the first half. Akpom's control while holding off defenders was lovely to watch. The guy oozes quality. Whatever the fault was tonight it wasn't him. Thought Azon & Clarke looked good too. | | | |

Woah hang on. I got dogs abuse for saying that because he got all his assists. Thank you for saying that. Makes me feel validated. Not our main issue as you say tho. I just miss the Davis run. The pass to the Edge of box and a shot at goal.
