Another convincing away win yesterday which helps to build confidence.
However, looking at the table, we haven’t yet beaten a team in the top half so if we’re going to stand any chance of a top six place, we have to change that.
Plenty of opportunities coming up in Dec with games against Coventry , Stoke, Millwall and Leicester but a victory against Hull later this month will start to make me believe we can do it. |  |

If the team continues to form as it appears to be doing, there’s no reason to worry about anyone. In 23/24 Leeds, Leicester and Southampton had more better players than us so to win two, draw two of those games was pretty good going.
We now have more better players and a deeper squad than the rest so we should be ok - but sport really isn’t FM25 so who knows. They’re less likely to park the bus too, which could be to our advantage.

Think Southampton beat WBA in their PO semi, we lost and drew with them.
Leeds beat Norwich and we drew and lost to them as well. |  |

True about the current top half of the table although QPR and WBA were top half before we faced them. We will learn plenty about this team in that mad run of 12 fixtures following the international break until the third round weekend. I think some of the teams we've beaten may have been top half when we did beat them, Ie West Brom, although too lazy to check. We've definitely beaten teams that were above us in the table when we played them. |  | | |

Southampton are starting to come good after sacking Still, lets hope the caretaker gets the permanent job, then it all falls apart as he gets found out.
No idea if Coventry can sustain their current form, but obviously we can't let them take 6 points off us in December.
Fingers crossed that Leicester get their deserved 10-20 point deduction sometime before the end of the season...
Other than that, can't really see 4 or 5 decent teams in this league at the moment, so we must be a shoe-in for top 6, but who wants the lottery of the play-offs, eh! |  |

It's logic really, those are going to be harder games
But there's a few elements going on
- Teams raising their game for us
- Sides doing a lot of homework on us and working on our weaknesses
- Us not being fully cohesive yet, defensively or going forward and being wasteful
I think we are second in the league for chances created but are taking less of our chances than that promotion season as an example
We keep possession better, we control games
We often invited pressure on us last time around and caught teams om the hop, it's a different kind of pressure this season and we will grow us as a team to understand it
It probably doesn't feel like it but I do think we are defensively better in open play and aerially, it's transition where we look particularly poor, caught on the hop and midfielders being defensively lazy and undisciplined [Post edited 9 Nov 13:42]

I don't think it really matters. There's not much of a gap in quality between the sides above us and the sides below, with the exception of Coventry who look genuinely decent and the bottom 5 who look pretty poor. Three of the sides currently in the bottom half would be in the top half if they'd beaten us and some were top half when we beat them. |  |
