If it was the one right down the touchline with the little ball over the top (from Furlong?) then my instinct was that he was nowhere near offside with a defender coming up quickly from a very deep position, but you'll still get the downvotes for daring to challenge the stroppy boo-boys with pesky facts that don't taint their favourite latest scapegoat. |  |

Sorry, but this transfer looked bonkers when it was announced. My Leicester season ticket holder mate couldn't believe what we'd paid for someone whom he always saw as a fringe player.
He cost a huge sum, so did Walle who has achieved little so far & Akpom has also looked like a misfit. We've played 1/3 of the season so far so the "bedding in" argument no longer applies. We have a much vaunted, expensive bench & the subs all made us look worse today. |
I don't take huge issue with the other comments, but if you really can't see the value in Egeli yet I just don't know what to think. What 'achievements' so far do you expect from an 18 year old in a new country? Can you not see the way he's developing into his role and opponents are already doubling up on him? He is a fantastic investment even if he hasn't scored yet. | |

People will always have opinions on the evidence on the pitch. I still think Philogene is a bit of a luxury player with tones of talent that will flash hot and cold. Was he worth the fee? I’m not sure really, if he gets us out of this league he will be. Can he start a level up? Maybe in the right team.
Clarke a really good championship player, don’t think he will make it in the PL either. McAteer may offer something but he looks far from a 12M player. Our recruitment hasn’t really been that good since we’ve had the money. We have 15M defenders on the bench and sent 7M players to divisional rivals on loan and it’s just a bit all over the place tbh. |

It was, but again the ball to him is too slow. He was looking for the quick ball into space, but once again rather than play a quick ball we stop and don't even play it. The player then 3 seconds too late decides to play it forward into that space and surprise, surprise the player is offside.

Countless times our widemen are in space and we f@rt around, delay the pass then when it gets to them, the opposition have got tighter, they have no space any more and guess what, we go backwards and start all over again. We're so bloody slow it's painful to watch at times. |

Your point is fair - I can see potential in Egeli and I reckon he will be a PL player in a couple of years. He was actually 19 in June, but clearly has development in him. If the team as a whole were performing more consistently, I probably wouldn't be criticising him, but naturally I was hoping for more instant results after paying so much.
I definitely don;t see why we paid so much for McAteer, who looks bang average while we are getting very little from Akpom. |  |

He looks completely comfortable at this level already, despite playing in a very inferior league last season. He is strong, agile, tricky and not afraid to try risky shots and passes. That should NEVER be trained out of him.
He will be a big player in time. We are lucky to have him. |  |
