Personally, I’m more comfortable with Walton between the sticks than I am with Palmer. Hope CW continues with this form, another clean sheet on Friday please.

| Christian Walton on 06:59 - Nov 26 with 893 views | Churchman | There’s not a lot in it but I agree. He’s better than Palmer. He actually looks more imposing. Daft though that sounds, I think for a keeper that is important. I don’t have much of a problem with either of them tbh. | | | |

Agree there’s not a huge difference in level with Palmer - both solid Championship keepers. I do prefer Walton’s quicker distribution of the ball though.
| Christian Walton on 07:20 - Nov 26 with 830 views | cookra | Walton has been solid since coming back into the squad. Really nice seeing him using his feet and distributing the ball faster and more positively than he had previously What a nice problem to have with him and Palmer. I think Walton keeps the cap for now as his performances have been good | |

He seems to know exactly when to go long. Often, when the oppo have committed an extra player forward. Then, he plays a decent ball through them. Following that, they stop committing so high up the pitch, enabling us to play out more easily.

Quite surprised there also hasn’t been more of a mention of his incredible reaction save tipped against the post for a corner against Hull last night Think it may have been 0-0 at the time so absolutely crucial save in the match as it was definitely going in. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
| Christian Walton on 11:06 - Nov 26 with 390 views | MrPotatoHead | I like Palmer and Walton. Neither are world beaters but I think they're both solid, dependable and proven Championship keepers with good experience. You need a bit of solid in every team, especially in goal. What I like about Walton is he's keen to play it short as is clearly instructed, but he's street wise enough to read the game situations and make a judgement. He'll go long from time to time when he sees fit and there's nothing at all wrong with that. Muric was a bit robotic at times and I think Palmer is a bit, unwilling to deviate from the script. The thing about this level is we don't need to be too cute, we just need to work as hard as the opposition, not give away anything silly and trust our quality to win out. | | | |

Think his performance in the last three games has been outstanding. Some wonderful saves. As mentioned above his one onto the post in this game and the QPR game were superb.

| Christian Walton on 12:14 - Nov 26 with 217 views | Westover | I don't think either keeper is good enough for the premier league but OK for the championship, as to Walton apart from the wonderful save he's had very little to do and that's because the defence has been much better IMO. | | | |

| Christian Walton on 13:33 - Nov 26 with 106 views | Meadowlark | I prefer Palmer, but Walton is slowly persuading me to change my view. Good. Two keepers pushing each other can't be bad. I think he's going to give away a corner sometimes soon though for holding on to the ball too long! Nearly happened again last night! | | | |

His footwork does seem to have improved over the last couple of years while he's basically been out of the side. One duff ball out yesterday, but you have accept the odd mistake or two.
