I won't be posting anything on here again. I've been accused of being a Norwich fan (I'm not) being on drugs (I'm not) being on my period (I'm not) I've supported Town since 1978 when I was just 8 years old. I've been up and down the country through thick and thin. My views are my own, yes I believe o'shea is awful, yes I believe that the instruction to play out from the back even though our defenders don't have the ability to do so is wrong. I think Kieran Mckenna is a lovely guy whose heart is in the right place but I also believe that egeli and philogene would benifit from getting the ball played to them earlier rather than waiting until two or three defenders are marking them. I can't support another team, Ipswich are part of me. The happy clappers can carry on defending results like tonight's. Good luck.

I was surprised you were picked out in that post, as you're mostly pretty balanced, certainly wouldn't make a top 20 list of bedwetters!

There were plenty on here last night who did justify that term though. I get post match emotions and all that, but so many just go so far over the top it's hard not to react to it.

This is the issue.

I get accused of acceptance, low standards, etc etc but the thing is, I never feel the need to over reaction and post utter drivel.

The result will annoy me all weekend, especially the two goals conceeded, but I can see that its not all doom and gloom.

But theres a few on here that cant accept that.

It does annoy us when people are called Norwich fans when they have negative things to say. But Dara O’Shea being the worst player you've ever seen play for us?that's a bit over the top and people have reacted to that.

He's not even the worst player in our current defence!

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

There's no party line or herd. People post stuff, some people shrug, some people like it, some people don't. If you post something stupid more people don't like it. That's all.

speaking of entitled, middle-aged. party line police, you chirp up. You continually suffocate with boredom and inanity anyone that doesn't share your opinion.

And here would you be without your beloved down-arrow?

It’s a shame there are posters on here who get personal and accuse people they don’t know of supporting Norwich because they’re too immature to read an opinion that’s different to their own. John Warks Willy did the same of me earlier which I found surprising, but hey ho.

I wouldn’t take it personally or let it keep you away.

In what way am I entitled?! It's you crybabies who are entitled. Even your insults are wrong.

I don't even know who you are to be honest, but clearly I've touched a nerve. You're very welcome to the downarrow.

Guilty as charged on the Nodge accusations last night, but… on 12:02 - Nov 29 with 637 viewsJohn_Warks_Willy

…in my defence

(And I don’t particularly recall your posts, so this is a general comment)

There is a group who take the negative posts when we’re losing to a trolling / hysterical level, then a few more jump board. Before you know it, it’s one page of the stuff, and bordering on looking for a massive reaction. Therefore, isn’t it fair game for me to bite?

Respectfully 😉

In fairness to the OP I'm having similar thoughts much to the delight of the HC brigade I am sure.

It seems the HC brigade can't take context into account when a post is made or can't bear to have anything questioned.

Questioning tactics/transfers etc is surely why the board exists otherwise it's upvote me because I am super positive.

As a club right now we are in a very privileged position but are failing to achieve our mission.

I hope I am wrong but can't see many points on the horizon before the year is out and quite frankly 2025 can do one. From a STH point of view (Scum game aside) it has been an appalling watch for the most part.

Really hoping 2026 is the start of the next era.

its called life experience, most of us have been around long enough to see the highs and the lows, so dont feel the need to constantly chuck the baby out with the bathwater when a result doesnt go the way we like which seems to be the mentality of the HMS p the league folk, and is absolutely the mindset of those who suddenly decided to follow Ipswich only 3 seasons ago, whilst pretending the latter end of the McCarthy era never happened.

people could learn a bit of patience in lots of things, but especially as a football supporter.

the point is that the (constant and unnecessary) insults, put-downs and down-arrows from the same old posters is unwarranted. Why do they stifle debate and take any viewpoint other than theirs as a personal affront?

We're almost at the end of the second page and no one has commented on the OP blowing his own trumpet, or valve-less bugle, yet. Standards have well and truly fallen.

Maybe lewblu meant the double meaning, in which case well played...on a five note scale.

I know you struggle with many concepts on here, but the op is about posting an opinion and not getting a barrage of abuse. It's not about me.

You are a main proponent why many just don't bother expressing themselves on here. Again, nowt to de with me.

If you and a fellow mass-downvoter on this thread and one or two others allowed folk to express their thoughts without the usual insults, put-downs and down-votes, we'd get a wider and deeper debate. But, I guess, unfortunately, that won't happen.

A point of order, though. Lewblu said Dara O'Shea is the worst player he's ever seen in a town shirt, has been watching since 1978, and conveniently forgets the likes of Graham Harbey, Adam Proudlock and Vemund Brekke Skard to name just 3 far worse players.

If OP chooses to bait posters with hyperbole, what do they expect to get by way of responses?

I'm all for reasonable debate. I've laid some criticisms down about the game and a couple of individual performances last night, but I don't choose to cry tragedy like the OP did.

Exactly this.

There was lots of constructive criticism after the game yesterday, and almost everyone on here agrees that it was a pretty poor performance and result, but the posters who got the stick for it are the ones who posted the way OTT nonsense such as the OP.

Anyone can have an opinion, but equally, people will challenge that opinion if they disagree with it. Pretty basic stuff really.
