That man was the key to our success over the past few years.
Brilliant captain and would certainly kick a few of the bad players we have got.
Has a goal in him, can control the midfield and take the game to the opposition, something we are badly missing.

I can't disagree with this. His desire to make to the Premier League dragged us along at times two seasons ago. We desperately miss his leadership.

It's not necessarily his leadership. There's no one in the centre of the park to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and turn the tide.

We need a Morsy, but maybe not that Morsy, we need a 28 year old version.

The only Muff in Town.

100% yes from me. He’s the player and character we need right now.

Others might not agree with this, but I’d love to see us make a bid for Crooks at Hull also. Those two would have us running through walls.

Plus Holland and Magilton?
Chambo too?
Is Mills match fit?

Said from the start of the season that’s the worse but if business we could have done in getting rid of him, utter madness. He will be back in January as McKenna needs to pick the fans up or will lose the faith very quickly.

Don't understand why that maybe the case
We did him a favour and let him go on a free so that he could take advantage of what seemed like a great deal, which wasn't so great

KM desperately needs a leader in midfield

If it's a deal we can do, it's just an absolute no brainer.

The worry is how much his time out of the game has affected him, but I wouldn't want to doubt him in that respect.

Matusiwa is great, but he's not Sam Morsy of 23/24 or even or 24/25. The guy was the best all round player, leader, whatever label you want to use, that I've watched in my 30 years watching Town.

If you cannot see how much we miss him, then there’s something wrong with you

We do miss the player.
It’s no good harping on about players that have left from our promotion side.
Apart from Delap and Hutchinson nobody else seems to be making their respective teams starting 11.
Whilst Morsy was brilliant for us he looked slow in the last season he played and unless he has found a way to defeat time he won’t have got faster.

Utterly ridiculous isn't it. Only last season people were complaining how slow he was. He's 34 years old and hasn't played competitive footballfor a while. He would get absolutely murdered in this league now. If Morsy is the answer we might as well all pack up and go home.

We need him for his leadership more then his playing ability, the team is rudderless and characterless.

100% agree,we need leadership on the pitch and Morsy is the man, cannot see another player in the current squad that can do the job.

Agreed, it all fell apart when he was allowed to leave. he actually cared for the badge, not many of the current lot seem to.

100% this.

Some of his viewpoints didn't make him any friends within the ownership group.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

The older I get the better I was.

It’s a long desperate shot given his age, time out of the team. He is not the answer.

Unfortunately for us, his desire to be true to himself, always speaking his mind and woke politics all conspired to get rid of him. As another poster said, pretty evident that bridges have been burned.

The Morsy of 22/23 no longer exists, he is dead.

The Morsy of 24/25 is an older poorer player who just looks like him. He will be lucky to get a place in a championship side.
