Thought he had a game of 2 halves last night.
First half he was pretty hopeless, summed up by lashing that chance over the bar, when all he had to do was pass it either side of the defender.
Second half he was much better, linked play up pretty well, and made some decent runs in behind.
I'd put another striker as our number one requirement for January though. There is a lot I like about him, but I'm just not sure that he is the answer for us. |  |

Can't agree with that. He's looked a pretty immobile lump whenever I've seen him play.

Absolutely not. He's got a bit better but he requires everyone else to do his running. Decent finisher but he's just not mobile. |
Perhaps surprisingly, Ian Westlake seemed to suggest last night that he was the quickest of our players over 5 yards.
He is only 22, and does appear to be adapting to the physicality of English football. | | | |

Not seen anything about him which makes me think he would be worth the fee. We didn't want him for what Coventry paid, doubt we will want him at quite a substantial amount more than that.

I like him, he's got quite a bit about him. Technically good, decent movement, and works his nuts off. Second half I thought he played well and his contributions could easily have led to a second goal. His finishing really needs work though, completely lashed at what was a very good chance last night when he had plenty of time and he has missed other good chances too. He's underperforming his xG quite significantly.
I'm less in the "we need a new striker" camp than others though. Hirst hasn't been as effective as we'd all hoped but he's still integral to the way we play and hopefully the goal against Coventry will give him a lift. I think Azon and Akpom are good enough as back up. If the right player came along then I'd be tempted but I don't think it's a priority. I think we're more in need of a specialist 10 and cover for Matusiwa and Davis. |  |

Yeah I agree, whilst Simms is clearly a good player he’s not the player we need.
That’s why I also don’t particularly agree with the calls for Akpom to play as the 9.
Although he’s not finished the chances he should’ve this season I really like Azon, his style suits us. |  |

I think he's still trying to adjust. The Championship with it's pace and physical nature is a huge departure from the technical leagues of Spain and Italy. Realistically, it'll take him most of the season to get used to it but we live in an era of impatience.
He struggles with his back to goal but makes decent runs and has obvious technical ability. His finishing has been a bit wild at times but he's getting into good positions and took his goal well on Saturday.
I think he'll come good, although I wouldn't mind a pacey option up top so we can mix things up a bit more. | | | |

I keep expecting more from him but i don't think i'd realised quite how young he actually is, so for now, he's offering enough and a bit of McKenna magic will see him get to where we need to be.
I don't think he's offering quite enough as a starter yet, but he is the perfect foil for Hirst, after Hirst has annoyed them all game. Azon can then come on and cause a bit of chaos. |  |

I know it's silly stats stuff, but I was surprised to see he has the highest xG per 90 of anyone in the league. He's getting himself into good positions but just needs to work on his finishing.
Given how young he is, I'm tempted to keep working on him.
