He’s lost the ball every time he’s received it

Are you trying to tell me that trying to dribble through 5 players on the edge of your own box isn’t a good idea?

If he and Billy Jean played with their heads up, we could be awsome.

Philogene doesn’t frustrate me as much as Clarke, he’s such a frustrating watch.

Yeah, Clarke is more frustrating.

Absolute stinker so far! Both the wingers need to learn to release the ball more quickly.

Yeah, Clarke is more frustrating.

Our first good move of the game ends with Clarke overhitting the simplest of passes. More than frustrating.

Philogene is at least earning free kicks and a corner.

He has missed so many basic passes as well

Not his finest half

He's been very poor thus far.

Just gave it away again for this free kick.

And that should have been 1-1

No fault on Clarke though, he had to take it early and on his wrong foot

That was unlucky, he’s done well to find space and hit it well enough, just needed to be more towards the corner.

There was fault, he should have scored.

Hate to keep digging him out but that is a very good chance, weaker foot or not.

Hirst too don't think he's managed two touches in a row.

Completely disagree that was a golden opportunity and exactly one of the “big chances” we need to convert especially in these type of games and probably why we were top of that unfortunate stat.

Straight at the keeper had to score.

Yep, and now it has cost us.

A real 1/10 performance from Clarke. Has repeatedly given the ball away. Messing about just outside our penalty area. Going back to the keeper from attacking positions. Wasted our only real chance.

I am really struggling to understand how Sunderland got good performances out of him. He’s been a total waste of space for us.

We have a negative goal difference this season when Clarke has been on the pitch.

I quite like him as a player but the team doesn’t seem to work with him in it.

Of course we want him to score there, but as chances go that wasn’t an open goal. That was all I meant. I agree it’s an important miss. We have to be taking chances like that if we want to challenge.

Started the second half poorly too. I'd hook him and put Akpom up top with Hurst, of course it will never happen

I’ve said it before, Jack Clarke’s decision-making is often baffling. It has been a rotten team performance today, but Clarke has been absolutely dreadful in every way.

Cheers,

And again the ball falls to him 8 yards out and he fannies about with it rather than having a shot. Abysmal from him today and he doesn't have the excuse of fatigue like some others.

In training can we please have Clarke spending 15 hours on practice for crossing and cut backs only. Maybe use some of the new training pitch areas to build one with a pit embedded in it. Where if you cut inside you fall into a pit filled with brambles and nettles.
