so why is Typography literally called Typography, and not fontgraphy then, and we have typewriters, not fontwriters ;)
maybe the word has been around since the late 1600s, though Id want to see it mentioned in Pepy's diaries to give it more credibility than page on the internet says so, that it was in common use at the time.
