It really annoys me that we have to wear it quite so much.

It's insane. The rhetoric is as if we're in the bottom three.
We're underachieving. It's not quite clicking yet, but we're still in the playoffs with the knowledge that we have an excellent coach who given time is able to guide players to their highest potential.
Entitlement levels from a few of our fans is shameful. Everyone knows it's not as good as it should be this season, but the so called 'insights' (hot-takes) into why just generally show an ignorance of the game.
Get behind the team, cheer them on, and we can help it come good.
Singling out players and management with constant sniping (however frustrated we all are at times) just creates a toxic atmosphere. |
Yeah it's one of the most depressing side effects of the Gamechanger era. It's been brilliant but we've now got a load more entitled glory hunters who demand success and if they don't get it all immediately behave like we're a rudderless club in dire straits. They just reveal themselves to be ignorant and casual fans imo.
This season is basically the dream season we hoped for for around 15 years of the Evans' catastrophe! Being in the play offs places in 14/15 with Mick was as good as it got.
Now people are kicking off.
Of course we now have money and expectations are higher but it's really not a disaster. Plus the 'we've spent 150m' crew fail to recognise that we have a model now of paying large fees for young players with big potential. It's a good model but it means you aren't getting the finished product straight away.
This is a new group of players that KM is building into a side. You can see we are making progress. I love how KM sees the game and how he gets us to play.
I don't class people jeering at Hirst, Kacey etc as fans at all. They should try 15 years of languishing under Evans before they moan. [Post edited 15 Dec 19:00]

Thats the issue really JD. Half a season left sure. But that doesn't automatically mean top two is achievable anymore than top two should be expected based on finances.
My gripe and only gripe is beyond the league table. Its how poor we look as a team overall which should have started by now showing signs of being a group.
We've won 1 game where we've gone a goal behind. That's not good enough
Some things we do well... but that is when we are fast. Direct and getting at the opponents, lots of recent games are poor slow affairs. Even the Coventry first half wws. Stoke certainly was and Leicester alot.
Id take 5th but only whilst watching town playing football the mckenna way not some this hybrid mckenna lambert type football where you feel like begging the players to get up the pitch quicker. |  |

You're right that we're not performing at our best yet, but that's exciting in some ways because we're comfortably holding our own with a side that's still learning and gelling.
I think we are looking much more of a group than we did.
We need to improve on our response when chasing a game but that's hard on this league in which the first goal is so crucial.
I think it's like KM in 21/22. It took time for him to work out how he wanted the side to evolve and it took time to bed in his ideas fully.
We just need to be patient imo. And frankly we could finish tenth this season and KM would have every right to be backed into next season. He's earned it. | | | |

A couple months back, the ITFC Facebook page had a throwback highlights video to when we played Coventry and Pablo scored that 95th minute winner.
One of the comments was something like ‘when we used to play fast attacking exciting football’.
