He was on the radio earlier in the season and he said staying at Wednesday this season was more about his kids. While he loves the club, his kids wanted to stay in the area. He said his daughter cried when he said he might leave, and cried with joy when he told her he was staying.

| Barry Bannan on 21:43 - Dec 20 with 1078 views | Zx1988 | He was key to some of their counter attacks. Clearly not as mobile as he was, but still incredibly sharp and able to pick a pass. Very much a case of 'turn it over, get it to Barry, and let him get it up field'. [Post edited 20 Dec 21:43]

| Barry Bannan on 22:11 - Dec 20 with 901 views | MattinLondon | In many ways he reminded me of Jim - not very mobile, but very good at picking out a pass as well as getting his point over to the ref. | | | |
| Barry Bannan on 22:11 - Dec 20 with 901 views | LankHenners | Against the general lack of quality from Wednesday he stood out a bit but overall didn't think he was that great really. Quite funny to watch him give the ball away several times through very telegraphed passes then throw a tantrum at his teammates like it was their fault. And also trying to make himself the referee as usual. | |

He makes those quick first time passes into space that Conor Chaplin used to do for us. Seems to know exactly where to pass the ball before he's received it.

No. He’s a whinging, moany annoying irritation of a player. Somebody you could punch all day and never get bored. But he’s a terrific player. Kept going, kept encouraging, never gave up. A proper player, as he has been for many years. One of the best players on the pitch so well done him. Wednesday’s support was top notch too.
