Evan Ferguson’s future is under scrutiny amid a disappointing spell at Roma, and Premier League clubs are sure to be on red alert as Brighton contemplate a recall

Celtic have been after him for some time.

Financially we'd be able to blow Celtic out of the water. They're not big spenders and by all means bit of a mess right now.

Suspect Tony Bloom, who has invested in Hearts, may not be keen to help Celtic out this season as well.

Was he disappointing at Roma? His two goals against Celtic were absolute top drawer, will be VERY surprised if there aren't big Clubs queuing up sadly..

Big clubs will want consistent scorer, Ferguson isn't.

He was- but he has ratehr stalled. The question is what combination of misfortune and injury, as against confidence and mental fortitude has caused that.

I could see Tony Bloom sending him to Hearts.

Putting aside the question of whether he would come to us, it would still be a massive risk.

We've seen with Kalvin Philips that signing down-on-their-luck big names doesn't always end well.

Ferguson could tear up the Championship. There is just as big a chance that he is a massive flop, injury prone and low on confidence.

Unlike Phillips Ferguson has age on his side in reality though as much as I'd welcome it I consider it unlikely.

Given how tight the prem is this year I am not sure Brighton would want to risk sending him to a prem team.

So Celtic or top end of championship could be most likely.

Especially, if we put in a decent loan to buy option in

I’d rather we went for someone like Andri Guðjohnsen at Blackburn, would have future value too.
