No rules beyond the above, just something you realistically could do but haven’t got round to yet.

There's a line clearly visible near the top. It looks like a plastic bucket in the shape of a pineapple with a lid to me. Edit: as was revealed on page 2! [Post edited 5 Jan 23:38]

| What is top of your Bucket List on 21:42 - Jan 5 by noggin | I actually shiver thinking how the world will be in 2061. I'll be 95 if I make it that far (I won't) and if there is still a world. |
I will be long gone. You do wonder what the future holds for the world and fear for it with what’s going on. People across the world could and should have done so much better and now we have allowed and are legitimising the rise of authoritarianism and dictators all over again to the detriment of the weakest and poorest.
| What is top of your Bucket List on 01:38 - Jan 6 with 474 views | IPS_wich | Not quite a bucket list thing because it can’t be guaranteed - but 2.5 years ago (when I was just about to turn 49) I picked up a golf again for the first time since my late teens. I initially set myself a goal of breaking 90 around a proper Par 71/72 course - given my best ever score as a kid was an 87. I managed that after about a year and reset my target to breaking 80. I play once a week and typically shoot between 86-91, have an unofficial handicap of 17.5 and my best round was an 83. Last weekend I stood on the last tee needing to par it for a 79. It’s the easiest hole on the course and I probably par it 70% of the time. I was playing beautifully and was only +2 for the back nine at that point. Anyway - long story short I f***ed the hole, had a triple bogey and shot 82. My best ever round but still not been able to be happy about that because of what might have been. | | | |

Paired with (sorry, cheat mode) parachute jump (maybe blow away lifelong fear of heights, would be a good way to go). Long-term - write my memoirs - does everyone have so much incredible stuff happen?!

A zip wire experience that lasts 10+minutes! You can f@ck that. Sounds horrific.

Try to do at least one of those things if you can. I have and they’re great fun to do - that sort of thing is not everyone’s cup of tea but for me they were a real adrenaline rush and sense of satisfaction. If I was to right my memoirs, I think a single sheet of A5 would do it. A pamphlet on absorbent paper (may as well have a secondary use!).

Well I've been through two earthquakes and a revolution, and that's just for starters. But the revolution is probably the only thing worth writing about (and my experience was comparatively mild although I still wouldn't want to go through it again) because lots of people go through earthquakes. I reckon Lagos could beat us all as far as memoir material goes.

I have had ambitions of this gor probably 30 years. Now I am 51 I doubt I could do it now - mortgage and fitness. Do it. Do it before you can't. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Sporting events are often up there but I’ve been lucky enough to be there for Stokes at Headingley and watch England cricket abroad. Done a few sports abroad which is my main bucket list theme. Top of that list would be going to Augusta for the Masters because it’s the one place on earth that just doesn’t look real to me. It looks like a film set and my mind can’t comprehend seeing it. Only problem is the cost, the fact that the town of Augusta is apparently a dive and I think I’d struggle to see much golf. But it would mainly be to see the holes in person.

My favourite story is Tommy, an Irish guy who worked in Lagos. But it's so not appropriate for a site with children. If we ever bump into each other, we sure to ask :-)

| What is top of your Bucket List on 07:25 - Jan 7 with 142 views | Benters | What I’d really like to do is drive a 18 wheeler long nose Peterbilt truck built around 1970 way down in Louisiana in the good olde US of A. Sitting beside me would be a monkey and in the passenger seat a tall leggy blonde wearing Daisy Dukes,a bikini top and cow girl hat. | |

Sort of Convoy (great film) meets Dukes of Hazzard (great tv) meets Every Which Way But Loose (another good un starring Clyde the Gorilla). Sounds good to me!

| What is top of your Bucket List on 09:26 - Jan 7 with 88 views | Swansea_Blue | I’d like to take my family to Nepal and take them up into the mountains. I spent quite a bit of time there in the past and they were formative years for me. The only downside is I suspect it’s changed beyond recognition and would be a bit of a disappointment. Otherwise I can’t think of anything particular. Loads of things I’d like to do, but none that jump out as must-dos or I’m particularly fixated on. Most of it’s around travel (long distance cycle touring, walk the length of the Pyrenees, etc). I made a “live life now” list once while pissed and after reading some useless self-help book. It was a tad implausible. I don’t think the moon walk will happen now . Flying a plane might be more likely. | |

Why don't you just fly a plane to the Moon?

A remote control one maybe. I could settle for pulling moonies out of the window of buses I suppose. That’s close enough.
