Jack Clarke in the 10.

That is all.

It’s hard not to enjoy watching J Clarke play football, when in full flow he just glides past players and a joy to watch.

He’s a terrific player, as is Philogene. I also like Clarke’s ability to send a player the wrong way with just a pause and a drop of the shoulder, as he did that Coventry player the other day. Give him any space and you are toast.

So happy to see that at last he's playing with confidence and seems to be enjoying himself.

Yes he played well, good to have him and Jaden on the pitch at the same time, Nunez has done well in the No10 but good to have other options there

Feels like his attributes are better suited to a wide role with space to run in rather than a 10 in the middle of the pitch with opps swarming him but I’ll probably be proven wrong. If we can get him and Billy both in the team that’s gotta be a good thing.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Tidy play in the build up to Phillogene's goal. Didn't do enough otherwise. Would need to see more influence to convince me he could play there against Champ/Prem standard defences.

We’ve been looking for a way to get both Clarke and Philogene on the pitch together and this seems the best way.

Neither seems to work when played on the right wing. With Clarke, Nunez and Egeli ( think will be his best position probably next season) it does seem Szmodics time at the club is done shame it hasn’t worked for him and I don’t really think we’ve seen the best of him. Also why Chaplin isn’t needed. Last time in the Championship he was great but really hasn’t had much impact since.

We need to concentrate on bringing in a 9 yesterday confirmed that, not that we didn’t know it already. So many chances created and not being taken, yet we’ve still scored a lot of goals.

Philogene is just on a different level at the moment but needs to score a few away goals. Funny how it wasn’t that long ago lots fans were slating him. Another example of how McKenna improves players but unfortunately not all will work out.

You can see and understand why McKenna would love to get Clarke and Jaden in the team together but against better teams I'm not convinced. Not sure Clarke is good enough retaining the ball with his back to goal and with less space and against better players it will be tricky. I'm all for trying it though. It's a shame Clarke hasn't been able to make it work on the right.

Burns was rusty but could give us fantastic balance And good for Egeli and Mcateer to learn from.

Poll: Who do we think McKenna (not you) will partner Greaves with ?

Interesting one really, yesturday he looked ok there, but recently when he came on, it didn't work and KM noticed it fairly quickly and moved him back out wide.

Seen the game now Frimley. I thought he grew into the role.

Obviously against lower level players it’s hard to assess, but what I liked was that he rarely gave the ball away and made himself available. He made some killer passes too. I wouldn’t rule him out in the 10 role.

Hes got potential there i think. That ability to drop a shoulder and turn either way makes him a threat and as you say he can pick a pass too. Maybe its one for certain games over a regular accurance perhaps.
