I notice that the club is opening this up to West Stand season ticket and match ticket holders for the next two games for £75 a person. If the capacity is there, why not?
It’s just the sort of initiative ITFC should be engaging in and a long way from Evans’ dirty seats and trees growing out of the roof era.
It is not for everyone, but I was wondering what other ideas people have for the ground/facilities on a match day? [Post edited 14 Jan 6:54]

Everyone should be fitted with a decibel monitor. Sort of like a Vitality scheme where you're rewarded for being active, I'd let fans get rewards for noise. Maybe the bottom 5% each game have to do a walk of shame out of the ground and the top 5% get cattle prods to poke them with. |  | | |

One game the spectators in the West Stand were so irate with the referee, at least half a dozen cushions were lobbed on the pitch. |  |

I remember a game sponsored by Harris Pork Pies (1980s or 90s) and they were dispensing complimentary mini PPs into the stands. They only did it the once. It didn’t end well.
I do think they could do more for the morgue section of West Stand where I sit though. Maybe a tartan ITFC rug built into the seat and a complimentary cup of Bovril. The latter should stay like lava for the game on the coldest of days
For the North Stand and Churchmans I’d have the first 10 rows fitted with ejector seats. Anyone abusing our players and a light comes on the panel in front of Matt Holland (he needs something to do beyond the sunbed and barbers) and he gets to press the button. Boom! Out they go. | | | |

Personally, I think for games we might not sell out, we should look at building a relationship with the local US Air Force bases. There's a US link with the ownership and I imagine many of the families would like to experience a game whilst they are here. Would help us grow our American fan base and I imagine they'd also spend a reasonable amount in the club shop. | | | |

I saw this and quite like the idea of upgrading as a one off. Shame its only open to the West Stand. Not sure why this offer doesn't extend to all season ticket holders? Can only assume its the logistics of getting back to your own seat before kick off.

Good Lord. We used to hire cushions back in the 70s when the West Stand was just one seated tier. We threw many of them on the pitch when Colin Harper got sent off!

You jest, but alot of the US servicemen & women based locally, became Town fans in the 70s/80s because it was something they could do and they enjoyed it
Remember having a chat with US border rep on entry to the States once who was ex-airforce from one of the Suffolk bases and had become a town fan during his time here who we had a great chat with about the Robson era with and how Town were getting on now | | | |
