One hell of an uphill struggle for McKenna coming into an unsettled and perhaps even demoralized team with a lot of leaders exiting.
The footballing romantic in me would hope he would rather stay with the strong squad he has built who are finally starting to click and build camaraderie.
In my mind, our squad is a lot stronger on paper now than the overperforming L1/Championship Promotion side, its the team cohesion that has been lacking. I think this appears to be returning, which is being backed by the results.
The logical side of me says that the Palace job would be too good to pass up a second time and a great next step for McKenna, who would go with my well wishes.
I'd take Rosenior after he has been sacked.

If we are in the Premier League, fingers crossed, why would a manager go from a secure job with the backing that KM is and has received from the owners along with a great contract a probability of a 40,000 seater stadium compared to Palaces at 25,000. I suppose it all depends on whether we achieve Premier League status. No reason we shouldn't, but I feel that largely depends on who we get in. | | | |

Aren't Palace extending their capacity relatively imminently? Also as Premier League clubs go a relatively stable club.

Why would he go now when he didn’t 2 years ago? They were in a better position then than they are now. IF we go up, our position will be stronger than it was 2 years ago. When he goes it will be to a bigger club than Palace. Spurs is my guess. | |

If we go up it may be easier to keep him but it would be tough to turn down. There will be a point when KMC feels he's done all he can here.
I think if Glasner is honest he's been frustrated with their business and maybe that makes KMC think twice too. A lot of players been sold for big money, not much reinvestment by comparison.
Glasner is thinking about the Utd job and Palace are hamstringing his ability to get it somewhat with transfer dealings. Maybe he's hoping to get it sewn up before the end of the season. |  |

Would make a lot of sense. Think the departure happens this summer one way or another regardless personally.
Not to put any pressure on things but it feels like the next 5 months are the most important in clubs recent history.
Obviously you never know how it's going to work out but I'd be more anxious about a new manager in the Championship with loans returning everywhere and depleted parachute funds.
If he goes after we are promoted with another 160M in the bank and brand new training center etc, we will be such an attractive vacancy. |  |

I agree, I'd be delighted but surprised if he stays beyond summer, sooner or later something he cant turn down comes calling.

I'm not saying I disagree that he might go soon whatever happens, but I think KMc has already demonstrated that the old 'set for life' money-is-everything thing isn't his prime motivation. I suspected that two years ago, and was delighted that it turned out to be the case. Faith in the world, and all that. |  |
