The big issue is Ukraine. The EU and it's allies will still want to tread carefully because Trump has that hanging that over their heads. He hasn't mentioned full withdraw of support but it is surely coming, and will be the next step if necessary.
However, should Trump withdraw full support I do think that might be the final straw for the NATO allies as well. That may be the moment they finally stand up to him, and he knows it, so he is keeping it there to string them along. It's fine diplomacy but things are finally coming to a head.
I would hope someone in power would finally call the Greenland land grab out for what it is - for materials and subsequently money rather than defensive positioning. As has already been admitted, the Americans can have as many troops as they want in the country. | |
