I’d get rid of red and yellow cards.
The Ref and Lino’s get Tazers instead. Serious foul play? Wallop. Diving, time wasting and cheating - zzzz and free perm time. Stealing yards for a throw in - bang.
I’d also issue tazers to the mascots. They can patrol the edge of the pitch and any dismal coward of a supporter throwing abuse towards one of our players gets a few 100 volts. Any supporter not dishing it up to the opposition like the Blackburn ex-scum bloke got on Saturday, also gets a dose.

Think this one needs fleshing out more.
Losing a point could see a situation where a team decides to score an own goal to lose 1-0 to take 0 points, instead of drawing 0-0 and getting -1 point, in order to finish in the top two, reach the play-offs or avoid relegation.
If you want to encourage scoring you could have scored draws at 2 points, wins at 4 points, and no score draws at 1 point.
Or you could have a loss and a no score-draw count as 0 points. Score draws at 1 point and wins at 3 points. Maybe this is what you were suggesting? |  |
