I cant see how this side flows without nunez in it tbh

Azor has been awesome at the defensive side of the game but passing is terrible alot of the time.
Cajuste. Always a mixed bag when it comes to ball playing same with taylor
Nunez tho seems to be the glue to us getting the ball around the pitch.

8 assists
11 goal contributions

His biggest issue has been scoring as hes had a lot of shots and also many on target.

I guess nunez wouod be perfect in a 3. But we dont play a 3

Azor's passing is not terrible a lot of the time, or indeed the majority of the time. He doesn't pass the ball forwards very frequently but when he does it's generally decent.

One of the things that I saw in his highlights reel before he came here, but we haven't seen loads of since he arrived is the ability to pick a decent pass when the opportunity is there.

I think his passing and particularly awareness of what’s around him is fine. He’s not had a lot of luck in front of goal, but when it comes to it I don’t believe in luck. I just think he has a habit of snatching at chances. He’s not the calmest footballer you’ll ever see.

He’s a good, busy footballer though. I just don’t think we’ve seen the best of him yet.

I have to agree. Szmodics was a dreadful fit as our #10. I'd be delighted to let SS go to Derby (who've been chasing him all season) and sign Mehmeti for a couple of million more on top. That's top Championship business. Having Mehmeti and Nunez to rotate in the 10, with Mehmeti another left 10 option too, makes perfect sense.

Might not even need a couple of million on top. If Mehmeti won't sign a new deal and really pushes for a move then BC are in a really weak negotiating position this window. £2-£3m could get him? And I am sure Eustace would see Szmodics as a coup if they could get him for £3m or so. He knows he really works in his team. The sticking point is going to be making it work for Szmodics wages wise.

You've fallen down the old "That 'r' looks like an 'n'" trap, Churchy!

One thing I don't think has been mentioned, is that he'd be a good investment. Because he's in his final year, he should be relatively cheap. In a year and a half's time he'll be worth significantly more for sale, something that Gamechanger is keen to do. Not to mention his value on the pitch too. It would be a good deal for all parties really.

If you liked my post, please take the time to upvote it. It's very much appreciated.

Someone new to give us a fisting!

Just a quiet word to hopefully save you a painful experience in the future or embarrassing situation with a colleague. It's called a fist pump.

Had a look through the numbers and the dreaded 'highlights' reel to add to the little i've seen of him.

He's not actually that much different to Nunez, looks like he's perhaps a bit more selfish, hence the goals/assists is the reverse of Nunez.

As McKenna would say, "different attributes" that perhaps we're looking for to 'unpick' low blocks at times.

Good point. If we're just shuffling the pack a bit and the net spend (assuming one goes out) is small, then it makes sense.
