None and not affected, we've received a smidge over 10% of the Racecourse's capacity. Will be our first ever league visit, with only previous visit over thirty years ago. So below 1500 would go in a flash regardless but it also double as our biggest novelty fixture of the season, for those who gotta catch 'em all (even with the cup game now the week before lol). Reminds me of the excitement for Forest Green a few years back. | | | |

The system is shocking. Should add it to your basket once you click the seat, not have to then press add to basket after selecting the seat. Not good for getting multiple tickets, I know about that best available button but don’t think it actually gives the best available seats viewing wise? | |

It doesn't, but I have resorted to this as we take in turns and buy as a group so we can sit together. Given how seats disappear as soon as you add them, this is the safest and less stressful option at the moment. | | | |

When you load the seatmap it presents the availability at that exact moment in time.
Then I think the below is how it works:
When you click on a seat, it immediately updates the screen with with the 'selected' icon, but also sends a message to the server in the background to 'hold' that seat (and expects a response back from the server to say 'ok, that's reserved'), so when it's quiet, simply clicking the seat is enough to 'reserve' it.
But when it's busy, that whole round trip process isn't always quick enough, particularly when you've tried to select multiple seats in quick succession, the 'hold' requests overlap, and maybe the responses to each aren't received before the next one is sent (or the 'add to basket'button) is pressed. The icons update, but not all the seats are necessarily 'held' when sometimes someone else got there first.
Then you get the dreaded "this seat is not available" when you try to 'add to basket' (it then does a 'confirmation' check that fails), you have to go back to the map and try and work out which of seats you've got selected you need to unselect, or just dump them all, refresh and try again.
I think one of the reasons for the queuing system on home tickets is because if they let everyone in at once, the whole click->'hold' process wouldn't be able to keep up and the majority of users would struggle to get tickets without experiencing several 'seat not available' errors along the way. I'm convinced that last season as the season progressed, the rate that users were 'admitted' to the seatmap from the queue was progressively slowed down to try and minimise those issues. Yeah. I picked two that seemed OK. Then once they were "guaranteed" I went back to look for better options. Of course everything I clicked on then was not available, so I was stuck with my first two, which weren't too bad to be honest. At least this time I did not have to resort to the dreaded "best available" which I think is actually "worst available!" | | | |
