Big and strong with some Championship experience. He would take some of the workload off Hirst but certainly wouldn't be an upgrade on him.

I would suggest it would be preferable to no signing at all but not an exciting signing. I would hope we could do better.

but when has a striker in a KM system been a goal machine the main thing he wants is holding the ball up and bringing others into play, goals are looking at most of our strikers a bouns

hes 22 6ft 6in has a reasonable record in L1 not so in the CS but at charlton hes expected to score the goals here that will be a part but holding up and gettin you head on stuff would be needed too, could do worse if there is no sod else.

Yeah I like the sound of this. Always good to have a big man as a genuine plan B. We could certainly have done with having him to chuck on for the last 30 yesterday and put their defenders under some real aerial pressure

Don't care if that's old school the old tricks are often the best.

That could be a hinderance to a footballer though, having it flapping around banging against your knees.

He got 6 goals in League One last year, not sure I'd go so far as describing that as reasonable. He has 1 (one) goal for Charlton this season.

If "at Charlton he's expected to score the goals" then I'd say he isn't really living up to that expectation.

The link is obviously bobbins. I hope.

maybe so but if his play is holding the ball up IDK to bring others into play that might not be what they want him to do, where as here he will be bringing better quality players into play than at charlton and his total record in L1 is 21 goals in 75 games which is just over 1 in 3

am i saying we will go for him no, like been mentioned nothing has been said, but also we know our strikers are not really 20 goal a season strikers, so i expect us to look at options that give us what we want if we can get them who scores 20 goals bonus but not sure there are many of those.

True but this is more of a project signing not a short term solution to try get us promoted like Moore ir a prem league loan, hes more like a Al Hamadi signing

Err, one in three would be 25 - it's not a hard sum

Big, strong and limited. I can’t see the point given the players we already have in Azon, Akpom and GH. £5m for him, if that has any basis, just shows how transfer inflation has taken hold.

To me, just over one in three implies he scores more than one in three. Not fewer.
