Well, this has been apparent in a few of our away performances this season (we are 14th in the away table) and you must think it is down to lack of on-field leadership. O'Shea is no Sam Morsy.
The 23 team was a bunch of misfits desperate to enjoy the game they were playing and reach what was for them an impossible dream. They gave every last drop of breath to do what they did that year.
We no longer have a squad which is full of that passion. What we have are very highly paid individually talented players. Some will naturally have passion. Some will happily pick up their cash without a care in the world. Some will bust a gut during a game even if they feel a cramp. Some others will slow down instead.
Some will hold hands up if not in the right physical shape to play. Some will not and get their appearence fees and give out a 5/10 performance.
We lost the soul of the side. You cant replace that when youre upgrading. Youre just buying talent

Nothing wrong with going via private jet really .
Private jet is expensive, bad for the environment, and may make players feel more entitled. They have a luxury coach and I would think could sit on that for four hours, especially stopping for breaks.

That quote is pathetic isn’t it ?
For once I agree with you. The problem yesterday wasn't a lack of passion, desire etc. We actually played well in attack at times. We were undone by basic individual errors in defence. It's possible that Davis (who himself was largely anonymous) was loathe to criticise his teammates. However I'm sure that will be addressed behind closed doors.

If it (theoretically) puts the players in a better physical & mental condition to perform, it's probably a reasonable idea. However, if we travel by private jet and lose, expect an avalanche of criticism. Analysing decisions based on outcome is a flawed model.
Honestly IF any of our players are going into games thinking its OK there's always next week.. that is an issue.
Imo you don't say something unless you feel it.
And that's why no yesterday wasn't a must win. But I wanted the players to go into feeling it was. And then the next one and then the next one.
For players to come out and say the opposition wanted it more. And players coming out saying its OK there's always next week.. there's a cross over in the squad.

Couldn't agree more.
Not enough positive focus, ambition or energy

If players can't find motivation to make amends for a woeful FA cup performance against the same team, and then not want to take advantage of 2 games in hand it's a bit disappointing..

I like the fact it sounds like Leif and azor are calling people out it’s better than the managers usual not to high not to low emotionless stuff I’d rather our captain was the one reading the riot act but more importantly setting the standards throughout the week tho so come Saturday we might lose we not play well but it’ll never be because the other team wanted it more

Which players *specifically* do you think slow down during a game if they get a cramp or pick up their money without a care in the world? Who do you mean?
In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!
Quotes like this can be blown out of proportion. Same goes for the one about Azor being the one to kick off in the dressing room - People baselessly exaggerated that one to mean that Dara isn't doing his job, just to make it fit the narrative.
It seems quite obvious to me that Leif was saying them wanting it more isn't acceptable. It wasn't him admitting that we have a collective lack of minerals.
No, not at the moment

Honestly the ones I often wonder about
Clarke Oshea Greaves Kipre Cajuste Akpom Egeli ( young so ill let him off that for now )
I dont expect or need anyone to agree. Its my own personal view. But when I think of who these players replaced and compare the effort levels I see weekly imo there is no comparison. As talents they are all upgrades. But imo there is not the same level of intensity or desire.
Love this Warnock video with the music. Probably makes it a lot more watchable than without the music. But for point of thread I do wonder how many of players feel they must "die to get 3 points"
I actually think we have players who do but wierdly and fairly I dont think we see a team who always give 110% for each other.
Leif, Azor and Burns do. Azon and Clarke will run their hearts out, but they don't run seem to run it out for each other as a team. I know people were pointing out D-O'S pointing and asking what its about, maybe its this. Where are players dying to run back and be where hes pointing. Needs to get in peoples face about it tbh.
For me Leif should be Captain for this point only. He will play for the others 110% and everyone knows it every game.

No necessarily. It depends on definitions and how you look at it, that’s all. ‘Must-win’ used to mean just that. To me it always meant there’s something unachievable if you don’t win (promotion becomes a mathematical impossibility, for example). Every game seems to be a must-win these days for some people, when I think all they mean is we ideally need to win to keep the pressure on.

Clarke is one of the hardest working players in the squad.
