A rather strange team this season , they get outplayed most games but somehow manage to win , today against Pompey , they managed just 2 shots against Pompey 21 , with possession at 66% against their 34% …..but the won 1-0 .

Incredibly impressive away form. For all the talk of the unfavourable schedule for us I think Hull might say the same at the moment, Pompey away today which looks hard fought from the stats, with Pompey dominating possession and having 21 shots on goal to Hull’s 2. Then down to PR for Tuesday night.
We had the luxury of managing minutes this afternoon and dropping the intensity a bit, and with no travel I’m feeling quietly confident about Tuesday. We’ll make changes in the forward areas to keep things fresh, we’ll dominate possession, and I think we’ll have too much for them. |  | | |

We are playing them at a perfect time IMO. They’ve just had to go to the south coast and put a really tough 90 minute onslaught, we won 3-0 and rotated.
