He loves it by constantly talking it down overseas for his own personal gain and selling secrets to Russia. Real love.

That is obviously not true. Neither are patriotic. They both love money and their filthy rich benefactors. Loving your country requires kindness, compassion, humility, helping others less fortunate, inclusivity.
There is not an ounce of that in either of those charlatans.

Oh Benters, we did this the other day. Farage doesn't love his country, he's not a patriot. He is out for himself. Politically, he isn't Churchill, he is Moseley. He'd have been cheerleading and making deals with Hitler and Mussolini back in the 30s. When I pointed this out your only response was to say you never claimed to be a patriot. That's fine, not everyone has to love their country - Farage certainly doesn't - but let's not be pretending that people who clearly don't love their country are patriots, mate.

Trump loves his country and it's citizens so much that when two innocent people were shot and killed in cold blood by ICE and subsequently labelled domestic terrorists, he did precisely nothing to counteract that claim.
Is that loving your country?
Is that what you want to see here?
Is the death of innocent civilians a price worth paying for "this once great country" (your words) to become great again?

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

Spot on! Benters is really going for it.

I have been very disappointed with Starmer since he entered office but he has taken exactly the right position over the attack on Iran. Trump and Netenyahu are like bullies who want countries like ours to be like the little kid behind them who kicks their victim when they are down. Netenyahu has a clear end-game, Trump doesn’t. Starmer is putting this country first and is therefore patriotic.

Farage and Badenoch are morons who think we should toe the line and actively support Trump whatever the cost. Do we really want coffins being flown in a transport plane just to be that little kid I described above?

The US asked to use bases. - which they are now using anyway. Body bags and coffins don’t come into it. Boots on the ground? No. One, we don’t have any boots, two that’s not the kind of action they are pursuing and three, the US and IDF don’t need that.

The nearest to coffins being flown home is the potential for our service personnel (and Cypriots) being killed by drones on Akrotiri - for which we provided no defence, despite obvious warnings. I see the ageing tub in Portsmouth is still there. Interesting article on this in Politico.

https://www.politico.eu/articl

I would argue that Starmer’s ‘efforts’ have highlighted this country’s weakness and actually makes us more vulnerable. As Starmer putting this country first, he’s repeated that continually, as did Yvette Cooper (a politician I have a lot of time for) on tv yesterday.

How is being humiliated and hacking off our main trading partner by country and key partner to what little defence crumbs in tin are left in UKs best interests?

Finally, is Starmer putting this country first or his Party? Reports (may be rubbish as most media stuff is) indicate that Milliband and others pushed Starmer into this decision because it would be a popular move for the Party, beleaguered by poor by election and an inevitable hammering in the local elections.

Don’t get me wrong, the tories added criminality to their self interest and incompetence, but they’re finished never to be elected again. However the tories’ disgraceful behaviour over so many things doesn’t detract from Labour’s weak performance in the last 19 months. Farage? You don’t get more self interested than that pile of brown stuff.

In other words, I’d argue that they all put themselves first. Few are interested in anything but that. Maybe that’s what it takes to reach high office, but the level of competence depresses me.

Apparently Starmer wanted to join the Good Olde US of A in the first wave or at least let them use the airbases…. But crazy Ed Miliband said it would look bad on the Liebour Party

If any of those crooks parked anywhere in the vicinity of me there would be a few well placed screws adjacent to tyres.

Farage would also get sugar in the fuel tank, and brake fluid over his paintwork.

Obviously I won’t have seen how it happened.

In what way? Badenoch was part of the last government, which spent years systematically destroying the country. Farage made his political career campaigning for something which has actively harmed the country, he constantly talks the country down and takes millions in dodgy foreign money to shill for their interests over our own. That makes them the very opposite of patriotic. And Farage would have been goose-stepping around stages across the country in the 30s, telling his audience of black shirts about the great things happening in Germany and Italy and how we should join them. He is not a patriot, he hates our country and its values.
