Pretty much agree with all this. Me too, I’ve been a fan for over 50 years,but if you criticise on here anything that goes against the grain you are leapt on by the same half dozen board police.

I think assessing the season objectively, especially including away games (of which we have 7 remaining out of our 11 games), it's really hard to make a case that we're one of the two best sides in the division.
We do lots really really well, but we're just not clinical enough when it matters, and that comes back to haunt us. Games like yesterday typify this problem, and there have been lots of them. You have to score when you're on top, and there have been too many occasions when we haven't been able to do that. If we beat Boro, of course we have a chance of making the top 2, but personally I think it's now quite an uphill struggle.
Even the goal difference advantage has taken a real battering today. We were not terrible yesterday by any means, but this weekend's round of games has been one of the worst for a long time in terms of the impact on the race for the autos. We were at home against a very lowly team, and Boro were away. We've lost 2 points on them, and 4 goals in the GD column. A big setback.
