| He got a goal but on 22:27 - Mar 10 by waveneyblue | This just gets pathetic. Yeah hes not Harry Kane, but slagging him off for getting a goal... grow the hell up |
Not what I did. Was part of a comment on his performance. Would you say he's at 2024 level?

Ffs he scored. Nothing else matters. This is the most astonishing thread and I’m in no way a happy clapper.

F’king ridiculous. | |

He then had a great chance to make it 4-2 and put it ten yards wide. A couple of goals of late don’t paper over the cracks of a bang average season at best. I think even he would admit he’s not at the level he wouldn’t to be. Yes he’s our player and we need to support him, but people need to remember this is a football forum and people are allowed opinions.

Half of Gary Lineker’s goals were shinners, scuffs and miss hits - but they were always on target and usually along the ground. Are we saying he wasn’t in form for half his games? Of course not. Hirst came on and scored. He might be top of the haters list but there are plenty of others that are in the poor performance category before him from tonight’s shambles against Stoke Reserves.

What’s that got to do with it? The thread is about Hirst battering. To say a goal doesn’t count because he scuffed it and the keeper missed it just isn’t fair. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I dont see why youre seeing it as hirst battering. Yeah he scored but he wasn't great when he came on. And some will use his goal as a defence on how good he performed. I think op mentioned the poorness of his goal as a pre emptive counter to that come back. Ignore who scored it for a second and it was a shte goal.. but who really cares overall as it went in anyway. Imo the only ones who came through that game with credit were Burns and Azor.

| He got a goal but on 22:13 - Mar 10 by Swansea_Blue | Have you all been kicked in the head by a donkey tonight? You do realise that strikers scoring is a good thing? It doesn’t matter whether it comes off their shin or arse, it’s still good. |
The "kicked in the head" brigade have been here for a while, just with more head kicks since Gamechanger it seems and especially moreso since our relegation

Don't really get much of this thread , if he had slammed it top or bottom right just inside the post into the net people will rightly say beautiful finish, no problem. If he has shaped his shot to put it low inside the post yet ended up hitting it 3 inches to the right of the keeper, people are entitled to say he got lucky and the keeper could have done better. . No one is saying it does not count. I guess we are all fraught tonight
