| April on 16:18 - Mar 11 with 1182 views | _CliveBaker_ | Bonkers. Not too worried about the games that bookend it but from Norwich to Saints is mad, 6 games in 17 days. Ridiculous with 5 of them away. At least if we do it we'll have done it the hard way. Need to win the next 2 to tee up what could be an incredible April. | | | |
| April on 16:25 - Mar 11 with 1113 views | Kievthegreat | 24 points, 24 goals in only 26 days. More points on offer in those 26 days than the first 2 months of the season. Have to focus on 6 points in the next 2 first though. | | | |

I'm more irked than I should be by the inclusion of a May fixture in a thread titled April. I think the last two games have soured my mood.

| April on 17:22 - Mar 11 with 848 views | TJS | Lessons really need to be learned by the EFL over this. So many things wrong with fixture scheduling this season. More games need to be played earlier in the season if you having international breaks as well. Rather than playing 7 games in 22 days at the end of the season perhaps bringing back a double header on the August bank holiday would be a start. The easy long term solution is to reduce the Championship to 22 teams. I have no idea why everyone is still so wedded to 24 teams when gate receipts are increasingly smaller in proportion to total revenue anyway. | | | |

The same EFL famously known for listening and applying common sense?

I felt terrible about the title - but it was 87.5% correct, which is a reasonable threshold I reckon - there are posters with a lower level of accuracy....

If we finished 5th to 8th it would probably be 10 games in 30 days with the expanded playoffs.

Just imagine what would have happened if we had also gone through an additional couple of rounds in the FA Cup - we may have seen more of the U21s, which would be “interesting”!

I was also thinking about this earlier. International breaks this season have taken out a possible eight dates for midweek fixtures. There are already nine scheduled midweek fixtures without rearranging matches for FA Cup involvement or postponements. Midweeks being kept free for the League Cup don’t help.

I'm clutching here but those last two games/penalties might boot the players into a really positive place. At the very least, we need to be on the up for the dreaded PO's

The second tier league has only been 24 since the money clubs dumped 2 places when they formed the PL. Second tier could easily be reduced back to 22 by sending the foreign clubs off to play in their own national league, the Cymru Premier.

Maybe a bit of warm Weather training , I’m sure that would work wonders, they need To be out On the training field working on passing accuracy and taking shots from outside the box, not resting. [Post edited 11 Mar 19:20]
