| Harry Clarke on 21:10 - Mar 11 with 966 views | Garv | Probably not a popular view and I know Furlong has been very good on the whole, but I'd have had him over both Johnson and Young this season. There were times earlier in the season we could really have done with someone going on the outside and being happy to swing crosses in. Furlong isn't great at either. | |

I've always liked Harry Clarke because he offers a lot going forward as well as being a good defender.

I found it quite odd that despite seemingly getting fit relatively quickly after the transfer window (I assume the injury is why he didn't leave) it was just assumed he couldn't or wouldn't get in the squad.

Especially when we ended up with a spare squad place.

Somebody mentioned that those at the top of the club were not amused at him pulling Taylor's shorts down when being filmed for SSN. No idea if that is true or not.

Wonder why we’ve lost the togetherness and camaraderie. That was well funny
| Harry Clarke on 21:25 - Mar 11 with 762 views | grow_our_own | I never understood us jettisoning H Clarke. Best attacking right-back in the club. I know a lot of our toothlessness down the right is due to Burns advancing years and our failure to sign a backup/replacement (despite spending 40m), but dropping Clarke is also a factor. Furlong is a better defender, but overall, little between them. Clarke is still only 24, entering his prime with a lot of experience for his age. I'd bring him back into the fold next season. If that means losing Johnson, then fine. That he's better than Young goes without saying. The fact Clarke is a double-promotion hero and Town fan is an added bonus. Heart goes a long way. Our away form has been poor this season, and we've not come-back-won for 86 games. [Post edited 12 Mar 16:37]

Depends what league we are in

| Harry Clarke on 21:29 - Mar 11 with 704 views | ElderGrizzly | The problem was he marauded too much and was out of position too often. Furlong is exactly what we needed to balance Davis on the other side | | | |
| Harry Clarke on 21:31 - Mar 11 with 675 views | seblue78 | I loved Harry and he was great going forward and linking with Wes. But he could be decidedly dodgy at times defensively / positionally. | | | |

He did the job he was asked to do, which was to fill in as a third centre back when out of possession. The times he was "caught" was when he was doing that job and our winger wasn't covering Clarke.
