| Alex Neil Out Thought McKenna. 14:41 - Mar 21 with 2259 views | StochesStotasBlewe | They changed formation at half time and we couldn’t cope. Same old story. Millwall deserved the draw, could have won it late on, luckily, ‘Boro dropped points again so it’s still in our hands. Frustrating as f***. | |

Difference is Neil changed tactics after the break, something Mckennas never does. Just plays that same system over and over. Never a plan B from our manager.

Most of the regular wind ups on here would be happy with a 5-0 defeat.

| Alex Neil Out Thought McKenna. on 15:20 - Mar 21 with 1512 views | jas0999 | Agreed. Really disappointing McKenna couldn’t counter their change. Deserved point for Millwall. Arguably, we were lucky to get a point in the end. We were poor second half. | | | |
| Alex Neil Out Thought McKenna. on 15:22 - Mar 21 with 1496 views | TractorJack | Don't really agree. It was a (calculated) gamble that paid off. We were looking much more likely to score start of 2nd half and they scored with their first proper opening of the game. After that they grew in confidence and had the higher energy and intensity that allowed them to take advantage of going man to man. That said we still didn't make the most of our openings in the second half and they only looked threatening from set pieces. | | | |
| Alex Neil Out Thought McKenna. on 16:19 - Mar 21 with 1378 views | bsw72 | Out thought McKenna? You’re joking. They basically gambled and put another big man up front and front loaded to close down our defence, but left themselves exposed at the back. I counted 5 times in the second half where we broke away and only a poor final pass from our midfield or forwards prevented a clear one on one. It was not exactly a tactical masterclass, and we could and should have punished them. | | | |

Says a lot about our players if they couldn’t find that final pass, considering the money that was spent this squad.
| Alex Neil Out Thought McKenna. on 16:28 - Mar 21 with 1317 views | LankHenners | Wouldn't say he 'out thought' him at all. Think McKenna was spot on post-match that they just started going man-to-man and we weren't strong enough in the individual battles and then when we did come out on top of them there was poor execution in the breakaways. | |

This. We were very wasteful in some very good situations where we had Millwall pretty vulnerable.

My thoughts entirely. AN was a pain when he was up the road and is a quality manager, so where has he been these last few years? My issue too with KM is no plan B. After an excellent first it was time to respond to their changes but whatever he tried didn’t help. There must be a way to have both our leading scorers on the pitch at same time. It was madness taking off Clarke maybe move him inside to work with Jayden not instead of him! Should have won the game. We knew all about their style so no excuses.
| Nonsense hyperbole on 08:38 - Mar 22 with 732 views | Dyland | Very bizarre knives out for McKenna from some quarters. The main problem was our pisspoor execution on final ball and positioning. We had plenty of chances even when being physically dominated in the second half to score two or three more. Neil took a gamble to try and win the game and it almost paid off. If our attackers weren't so profligate with the ball (Clarke aside) the more canny Millwall fans would be calling Neil naive. Agree it was frustrating though :) | |

Beasts, except the relatively normally sized left back. Raises an important point though. Man do we need to recruit more physical players, if we're seroius about competing in the PL.

McKenna 'is one dimensional and doesn't change tactics.' Which is another false narrative that's taken hold among sections of our fanbase.
