I know plenty of us have raved about him this season but he seemed to turn into a prime Pirlo on Saturday. It was really noticable how much he was picking the ball up, turning and getting us playing forwards. Also, he kept trying to play the ball into the strikers feet around the edge of the box in the second half.
I didn't think he could do much more to improve on his excellent form but thought he was at another level (Particularly the first half) |  | | |  |

he is a better athlete than Morsy, and a better ball winner. Nowhere near as good on the ball as Morsy was though. Morsy could dictate a game. |  |

As with McKenna, you get the impression that he's not the sort of bloke to go chasing big money instantly the minute it's on offer if he's in a place where he thinks he can develop his career better.

Yeah maybe so. We'll have to see. Hayden Hackney is probably taking some of the attention away from him but I'd still be very surprised if the likes of Fulham, Everton and Bournemouth aren't keeping tabs on his progress. | |

This is the problem, he is a stand out midfielder at Championship level & has all the attributes that PL clubs would want in a much desired position.
The likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle or Crystal Palace will all be looking for a replacement during the summer.
Matusiwa alongside Hackney would have been be an awesome partnership this season, that could almost certainly step up to PL level; it is imperative that we go up, or we might be seeing them playing together for Middlesbrough! | |
