That’s great as long as we don’t lose one and draw two. It’s squeaky bum time me thinks. [Post edited 16 Apr 8:00]

Suspect that may become "must not lose" unless we get 3 wins from the next 3 games. I wouldn't like to go into the last game of the season needing a win...

I would say very squeaky if we lose on Sunday.
| So after the loss at Pompey. on 08:33 - Apr 16 with 1514 views | ITFC_Forever | No, 3 wins should keep us ahead of Southampton, 3 wins and a draw to make sure. Less than that if we avoid defeat against Southampton. So we can still afford to lose one. | |

A bit early to describe that as have to win if we don't know what the table will be at that point. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

It's not inconceivable that we're up by the Saints game. If we win our next three and Millwall and Saints drop any points then we're there.

Well it has changed in that we have to get those 10 pts out of one less game. Getting 7pts is easier than getting 10 pts. Getting 10 pts becomes a problem if we're running out of games. I'm not being negative, but Pompey was a big blow. I think a win there and we'd be smelling promotion already and the rivals would feel it too. Still in the driving seat for 2nd place, but Boro ( and Millwall and Southampton) must have had a boost out of the Pompey result. If we get back on the horse straight away with Boro, then great.... but I feel PR will be a very nervy place on Sunday. It's not good to dwell on it, but I'm still a bit cheesed off with Kieran tinkering with the side in key areas on Tuesday. Give ourselves the best chance, get the results and we could have put Baggott, Boniface, Cajuste and a couple of under 18s in the side for the last couple of games.

If we lose Sunday it's playoffs, to much pressure on this squad, If we play the PO semi final away first I think we'd be final bound, After that anybody's,

Azor still has an injury but managed, for me this was always going to be a battle, tight stadium team fighting to keep there standing, Crying out for Taylor that game,

Well its squeaky bum time for sure , as someone else has already said. Its the tough end of the season where they are probably running on empty ( despite all this rotation melarky)...its who has the strength of mind and body to get over that line. Its such a shame most of our remaining games are away because we seem to approach this e games differently , and not Id suggest for the better ...

Agree. Put Johnson at LB. Keep Greaves at CB. Keep Taylor alongside Matusiwa. Obvious changes and who cares about utilising the squad at this late stage. Do everything to get the points and keep the advantage. Even so.... whoever plays.... a tough old game, but I think Kieran overthought it.
| So after the loss at Pompey. on 10:03 - Apr 16 with 1144 views | _CliveBaker_ | By definition, no. It would be very welcome though. Given 10 points guarantees us promotion, that has to be the aim from the next 5 games. 2ppg obviously, which is exactly what we've done for the last 5. Maximum points from the 2 home games would go a long way to doing that. We really want to be going to Southampton knowing we can secure promotion with a win, but also that its still in our hands on the final day if we lose. That would be a nice position to be in. To do that we probably need 2 wins from the next 3. Get one Sunday and we can go to Charlton and WBA knowing 3 points is likely fine, 4 very good and 6 dream land. | | | |
| So after the loss at Pompey. on 10:31 - Apr 16 with 1088 views | rickw | I did a League Calculator I had us drawing with Boro, losing to Southampton (who win all their games) and us winning our others and that had us finishing 1 point ahead of them in second. Looking at recent form though WBA away will be a lot harder than I thought, so we'll probably need something more against Boro or Southampton | |

| So after the loss at Pompey. on 11:39 - Apr 16 with 961 views | Swansea_Blue | If we don’t win this weekend and make the most of our better home form, it’s going to get very nervy. We can’t be needing to win 2 or 3 away games to be certain; we don’t have the away form to make that a comfortable option (it’s doable but unlikely). We could now be needing to win our last match against QPR to make certain, or they could surprise us and put in some superb away performances. Who knows with this side. We can be very good or very sh*t. | |

No, the game in hand is against West Brom, that's when Southampton play Manchester City. After that we will both have two games left.

Saints is our game in hand over everyone else other than Saints. That's our rescheduled fixture, nobody else is playing that midweek and after the West Brom game week everyone else will only have one fixture remaining.
