If we had the chance would we chose him over Furlong ? Think Axel edges it for me.
Tuanzebe might be the better player in a straight comparison but Furlong has played 36 times for us this season so far. Tuanzebe managed 45 games in two seasons.
I'd stick with Furlong because he's more reliably available and a perfectly decent player.

I prefer Furlong, never got the Tuanzebe hype, seemed to always have a mistake in him.
Massively hyped by some on here. Agreed I never got the hype. It's no coincidence the only teams who offer him a contract (and a 1 year at that) are newly promoted sides almost certain for relegation....!
I'd opt for Neither. I like Furlong but his antics will get found out in the PL if we get there.

Agree, Furlong has been good this season.
I like him too, he's been a good, solid, reliable and clever (in several ways!) player for us this season, but I fear his lack of pace would get found out in the Prem and the frequent pull backs will be frequently pulled up!
Tuanzebe, if he's still as good as he was a year ago, would be great to have back, but we'd need cover. [thinks...] Maybe Furlong could be that cover at a pinch, but I want someone faster.

Yeah, 100% would be buying a top class right back if we went up.
I think we would spend big on every area bar left wing again to be fair.

We seemed to be managing him really well, and possibly for the first time in a long time he seemed to have found a home here.
I understand about PL football, I understand football is a short career, but really think it would have suited him to put some foundations down here and build a really strong career.

Furlong seems to have better game energy and be available more, perhaps more of value in the busy championship than prem. I liked tuanzebe but furlong has been good recently and I think there's something to be said for giving people a long period in a role and not changing every season.

Im absolutely loving the growth we are seeing in Furlong as an important player. He has been pretty consistently solid from day 1 and available. I like what we are starting to see from a more advanced RB when needed, weve missed that drive from that side, but this also coincides with McAteer’s improving form.
Furlong for me also he’s less the journey man which we can build with.
