Hirst is a better finisher. But yes not lethal. Hirst is more confidence. He can go on a streak. We don't have a lethal finisher. Akpom potentially but he hasn't been able to force his way in and that must be not doing it in training. | |

True. He’s been horribly isolated in this half which hasn’t helped him, but yeah he’s not a finisher. I’m not that convinced his movement is intelligent either. He’s been nowhere near our crosses today, but that could be a team problem not just him. We still look like a team of new signings trying to get used to each other in pre-season. |  |

I don't think it's hard at all. His movement is fantastic if you watch. His work rate is very good. He's not lightening but he has a good bit of pace. He will run over his gran to go and get a head or foot on something.
The problem is his finishing is very poor and he can't stay in his feet. He's still very young. I think he has half a chance if he can get this things happening. Bit I think he is well short of is offering him something now.
(Let's not forget Diego Forlan. A lot of similarity in terms of first season in England. I have never seen a worse finisher than Forlan first season. Then he became one of the deadliest scorers in Europe). Not that I see it happening | |
