| Azon on 22:08 - Apr 28 by homer_123 | There is something i really like about him. |
Me too, he looks like an infectious character. I think he'll go on to have a streaky career. Any team that has him when he's on fire will be in for some fun. I think he has the potential to have a couple of "Daryl Murphy" seasons in him.

| Azon on 23:50 - Apr 28 by FrimleyBlue | If we had a natural 10 who worked with him well I think it would create alot of opportunities. He reminds of david Johnson winning headers he has no right to win. But quite a lot of times no one is around him. |
That's a very good comparison, I can see exactly what you mean about similar to Johnno. Whereas big forwards often tend to try to back into the CB and often just get bounced out of position (a la Hirst) and out of the contest, Azon (and Johnno before him) tend to come in sideways a bit with their eyes on the defender more and leave themselves free to take advantage of any slight mis-positioning from the defender. Essentially they time the contest better because they're not limiting themselves getting tangled up in the pre-contact backing in contest which the CB normally wins.

| Azon on 22:58 - Apr 28 by darkhorse28 | He does work hard, but when taking a yellow is your best work, says it all. Worst finisher I’ve ever seen at this level, and not just for us. If my auntie had balls etc. If it wasn’t for the romance of a foreign player doing well; he’d be getting dogs abuse. He offers literally nothing in the final third, no quality at all, does graft, and link up play is decent, but how on earth is that even good enough? He’s league TWO in many metrics that make a striker a striker. LEAGUE TWO. |
Some hot takes in here given we literally have AAH on the books. I love Azon and i'll be so sad if we don't keep him. He is brilliant and the finishing can be sorted out.

| Azon on 22:18 - Apr 28 by BseaBlue | All of the sentiment in me says sign him and use him as our project striker but its just that grey cloud with his finishing that hangs over him. Do we back ourselves to coach it into him? I always feel like finishing is like a super power. You either have it or you dont! I hope I am wrong though. |
Definitely can tweak his finishing technique a little along with a bit of in-the-moment psychology work which I'm sure he'd embrace, to get to a point where the instinctive habit is to be over the ball through the impact - I think it's almost like a bit of dance training to do with posture and rhythm. That's significant, but in contrast with the range of skills and attributes he's got, it's a relatively small bit of work to get it right. Do that and he's definitely PL squad material.

“ He offers literally nothing in the final third” So who was the player who won the second ball off his own knock down header for Burns goal then. You do you, but it’s really boring
| Azon on 08:25 - Apr 29 with 145 views | Libero | I think he’s still at an age where he could improve quite dramatically, I’d love us to sign him- fantastic potential in there and may even be better at Premier League level than Championship! | | | |

Issue is, if you go up his game time would be pretty limited so would be very hard to give him the consistent games he needs. He is a very strange footballer not sure I have seen anything like him before, he goes from Pablo to Dom Samuel in a matter of seconds.

He wins the header but still reacts quicker than the S'ton players around him. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Other than Clarke, he was our clear MOTM last night.
