| Can we do Saturday properly with transistor radios in the crowd please? on 16:43 - Apr 29 with 1208 views | bsw72 | Which reminds me to ask - how does anyone get any decent internet on their mobile an PR - I see people browsing scores etc but I get nothing despite decent 5G strength on O2. I know about negtwork congestion and how the crowd size impacts it, but obviously some networks either leverage different towers or there is a trick I am missing. Which works best? | | | |

Yeah I always wondered this. Everyone at half term checking their phones, seemingly with no problem and mine can't do anything.

I'm on Three and I have full 5G, which works, throughout the course of the game. I find it fascinating that so many people are on O2, in general. Expensive and in my experience has never worked as well as Three

I'm on Vodafone and there's literally no point whatsoever from 30 minutes before kick off.

I'm with EE. It's a bit hit and miss, but generally have no issues accessing the scores. I just hope we don't get any false alarms. They spread like wildfire on the final day

Vodafone here too and I do okay, especially during the game as fewer people using phones than at HT. [Post edited 29 Apr 18:43]

How do photographers get on with sending their pics? They access the club wifi?

As alluded to, it is network based. I'm on a carrier that uses the O2 network and, like you, I can forget about any internet connectivity during the game. My friends on other networks often have no such problems.

Well. There’s actually 20 Ethernet ports behind each goal now, which was a Premier league requirement. Some might still use the Wi-Fi but going off an Ethernet cable is so much more reliable. Edit: Just remembered when Villa did this they totally misinterpreted the requirements and put all 20 immediately behind the goal net. Led to all of us buying 30m ethernet cables. 2 years ago a strange gentleman told my mate to turn off Bluetooth on his phone while in PR and it would resolve his poor internet performance. I laughed and said to him 'but you do realise Bluetooth has nothing to do with the internet access don't you?' Well being the nice person my mate is, he did it to show the man there wouldn't be any difference, 2 years later my mate is still turning off Bluetooth while in PR and his internet connectivity is fine. If he turns Bluetooth back on the internet just sits there hanging. The strange gentleman told him.. phones always look for Bluetooth first and given there is probably 27,000+ mobile phones around you, the phone is constantly trying to talk to them and using vast resources it doesn't have the time to connect to the Internet. Now I don't know if strange man was talking actual technical b0ll0cks but my mate never has internet issues when he turns off Bluetooth.

I have dual SIMs. O2 is dreadful - completely unusable, even though it shows a strong signal. The other SIM, on Three, works flawlessly.

We don’t need any negative energy in the crowd if Millwall get an early goal etc. Just spend the whole 90 minutes roaring us on to the victory that makes anything else irrelevant.
