Does he get a place on the bench on Saturday for a small cameo if comfortably winning? Or is it the kind of game where there's no room for sentimentality?

Lot of talk about how much he will have cost us over the season but we're unlikely to ever know the true impact that a professional of his calibre will have had. Wouldn't surprise me if he stays with us.

We have far more deserving cases to sit on the bench & in so important a game, no room for sentiment towards someone who's played about 10 games for Town in his life.
We seem to have struggled a bit over the past couple of seasons with our 'seasoned pro' recruitment. Sone did OK but Kalvin Davis last year and Young this year have both been way too injury prone to make an impact on the field. If you look at the impact Xhaka has had at Sunderland, you have to wonder what might be possible if these players had been available for more games.

Yeah Kelvin Davis never even got on the pitch for us. what a waste
Suspect he had a huge impact behind the scenes with helping especially the younger players with the mentality of the game etc. A great professional and hope he stays on in some capacity but suspect he'll just be a pundit

No room for sentimentality.
We've paid him handsomely for his services this season and he's not exactly a club legend.
